Good Luck

Well,time submitted to Chris.
I don't have too much time to race this week.
I did it in the morning, after a big mug of coffee and before a little work...
Good luck you all.

Looking at what everybody else said that they hated this course ill take advantage of that. In qualifying this car can get faster laps than anybody else(or that I hope). BTW are we going to have an extension for next weeks race or a week off?

Who knows?
I LOVE Sears Point.
Faster LAPS?Maybe it was just one faster lap.Reading between the lines you are not consistent enough. You were third in qualifying with a hot lap one second faster than anyone else...
Well, well,we others have a chance to catch you. :trouble:

I would hope for a 2 week break over Xmas/New Year's. I think some people will be away and/or unable to get to a PS2. As for myself I will be away Xmas week and I have my mom coming to visit from South Africa.

I did this race just for fun and found it to be quite fun after a few laps of getting in the groove. I raced a +10 field and lapped up to 3rd place... still undecided about the effect of RS vs RM tires though. I will have to calculate the differences. I am interested in seeing all your times for this week! Then hopefully round 4 I can join in.

I have something cooked up for the Christmas-New Years break. don't worry, I don't have time either.

Well after my first actual run at the race, I've found I really need to work on my tire management. For the second and third stints I switched to then kept racing hards on the front. I ran 8 full laps first stint, 12 the second, and 11 the third. I don't know how some of you are talking about running softs! I ran my second stint with hards and kept lap times pretty consistent to with mediums just with longer tire life. Since I'm already 5%hp down I will be submitting my first runs time. Good Luck to the rest of you in contention.

Shotgun, anything specific as to when the deadline to submit times for this round is? Also, I dunno if this will be an extended round given the fact that it is the Christmas/New Year's holiday break for many of our competitors who are pretty much going to be away from their PS2's for the period.

Im doing this with Softs and Hards. Very quick time. Ran a 3-stopper today. Able to do 10 lap stints on hards will being able to tear the track up with softs but yet be very gentle on the tyres. It very possible to do this with softs. But if I went all softs the whole race I would be doing a 5-stopper.

I gotta remember to do that.

No, there will be no EXTENTION. However, there will be a "Christmas Break" of sorts. All times must be submitted by

Sunday Dec 23rd at 6p CST (Midnight GMT)

or they will not count

PS, where are all the drivers that signed up? I was missing 4-5 in GT300 alone. Now I'm all for being a pansy, but come on! Jerome, you're forgiven. Some of these guys that sign up, I do the work, and they're around for a quali round and that's it.

I know I am new to this series but I'm down indefinitely. There is a lot to learn before GT5 comes out. In just one qualifying/race run I've learned a good bit about fuel/tire strategies. I could swear that I could run faster if I topped off a little bit during my pits. Again disclaimer on this is my first week so don't rip that idea to shreds. Anyways race on!

I'm HOPING to be able to hang in there for the season. What worries me is the same reason I originally chose not to compete this time around...

It's quite likely I'll be in Australia a couple of times early next year, which means during those trips, no PS2 :( Chris, any ideas you might have about how to enable early running of races would be sweet 👍 :D

@mtbiker I have two words of advice. Don't Quit. I have learned more by racing against these guys than I ever could on my own. I was slow with a capital "SL" when I first started here. But I learned how to drive all over again. It comes with good competition, not racing against the Automated Idiots. Stick around and the rewards will be great.

@CAM and GT4Def Same for you guys. I hate to see attrition start taking it's toll this early in the season. CAM has been in quite a few series of mine (sorry I missed the Clio Cup man) and I've noticed a marked improvement in his skills over the last year. Impressed, you betcha!

@ ZeratulSG I don't know how that would be possible with the penality system in place. Shoot me a PM when you send me your time this week with the dates and things like that and I'll see if I can't figure something out.

@all A quick question to everyone. I know the holiday break is going to be tough on everyone, myself included, so I will NOT be holding R4 Qualifying. What I ask is what you'd like to have. A full-fledged break or a special event? I've got 2-3 specials in mind, and might break up the season some more with one. But let me know what you'd like and we'll go from there.

Thanks all.

Hey! I'm here for the season, as always (Clio Cup not withstanding)
Even though I had a really bad week last week I qualified, and I am doing the race over the weekend.

I just haven't been playing GT4 over the last few days, been playing GT5P when I have had the time to turn the PS3 on that is.

Also I vote for a break, or a nice simple challenge that won't take too long to complete.

Neil

I am cool with a break even if I've only competed in one round so far. I can just run the previous two races qualifiers and races to keep me sharp. I won't be travelling too far away from home for the holidays and have some time to kill. But a little challenge wouldn't be bad either!

Finally had time to get one run in, in 5 seasons this is the first time I've ever run only once, but I didn't want to break my streak of 5 seasons without ever missing a quali or race. Don't think my time will put me on the podium but at least I completed it.
I've been running GT5 Prologue for the last 8 days and put GT4 in just for this race and it seems GT4 is easier to run then GT5. The physics in 5 are soo different, lots of drifting and when you start losing it on a turn it's virtually impossible to pull out of it. Can't wait till the 25th when online racing becomes available. It's going to be great fun running these races in real time against real drivers as opposed to the AI's. Can't wait to run Neil into the kitty litter and make him cry :)

My complete splits from my fastest lap:

T1: 0'17.477

T2: 0'53.856

Times are being sent right now.
