Support on PD bans

Since seeing these hacked cars on GT5 in the past few months, I've gotten quite irritated with them. In my opinion, they take away the fun in the game for me. I don't own any hacked cars and I never will consider using one, but it comes to the point to where enough is enough and we need to step up as the GT community to help make the game go back to what it was before (a blast of real competitive racing). Yes people make lobbies for hacked cars, but I'm glad PD is wanting to get rid of the hackers, and I'm willing to help them in this, all it takes is support from the rest of the community, and I know we can all change GT5 for the better. I know that GT6 has been rumored but until I see a trailer for it, then I'm not worried about it and I'm going to continue focusing on GT5. The hackers deserve to get banned and it's up to us to help them do so.

Very true. I've gone into a few "hacked only" lobbies and I've told all of them the consequences of using the hacked cars, and they wont believe me.... Sucks to be them when they get banned from being reported. I can't wait till the game gets restored back to what it used to be.

Yea, cuz people get them not knowing what it is until they use it, but people just abuse it like crazy! It makes me wanna puke when people use it when I want clean competitive racing in my lobbies. Really?! Well thanks for the info, hopefully we can get a trailer or two in a few months to get everyone pumped

We have lots of threads in the subject. Nobody's ignoring it, and users are being dealt with by Sony. We (GTPlanet) are not a governing body that sanctions PSN accounts in any way.

And where are you getting this information? There's nothing about it on the Gran Turismo website or the news page of this site. If it's a guess, it's pointless, if it's "insider information" then you should have signed a confidentiality contract, naughty naughty.

Pretty sure he is making an assumption in the form of truth... Which is against the AUP... If not, may I ask for proof, Smasher, as to where you acquired this information, and if it is an "Inside job" what reason do we have to take your word.


As for the topic of the Hackers, I have many, some of the racers I race with have some, none of us have any advantage over those who use non-hacked cars so for the rest in our group of mates, it hasnt been ruined. Im sure you can find many other examples of hackers fitting in without ruining racing in all the other threads on the topic.

Agreed. Hybrids have renewed my interest in GT5. If Sony bans me, so be it. I'll just go back to the other racing games I've been playing like nothing happened. No loss for me by getting banned from a game I originally found boring before the hacking. That being said, I don't support what the OP is trying to do. It's pointless.

Nah, I'm sure they are quite grateful when you go into a room where they are enjoying themselves and bitch at them for doing so. Especially if you report them all afterwards as you imply you are doing when they don't listen.

Very true and I agree. I'm usually in free run rooms and when I see the "realistic" hybrid cars on the track, it usually puts a > then > on my face and makes me want to stay in that said room.

I say PD shouldn't bother and focus on finishing GT6 to come out this year, GT5 is half finished anyway so why would they care about it?

I do find it funny that the use of Hybrid is so often, rather than Hacked or Edited.

There many arguments for them and how this seems to be so brilliant, does not get away from the fact 3rd party tools (software) has been used to make them.

What's funny is people complaining and stating that most of them create a unfair advantage. When in fact the PP system keeps them in a level playing field.
Also some people that are totally against these cars are the same ones who want many of these features in the next game. Even though yes it is breaking the TOS. If it wasn't for that I bet that if it wasn't for that fact everyone would be doing it.

As alluded to by Toronado in post #17, the downtrodden have risen up against their oppressors. Mutiny, theft and sabotage are accepted in meeting the noble aims of the GT5 underground.

If anything all hybrids did was open my eyes to what GT5 should have been. And shown just how big a failure GT5 was after Kaz released it. It could have been a great game. Kaz/PD and Sony screwed up and locked out all the awesome features (they promised us) and gave the minimum required to make their money.. Shame on them, and shame on you..

There's no conspiracy here. The reason they are called hybrids is because they were always called hybrids. It isn't a new term to try to legitimize them for GT5.

This discovery of all the additional tuning features that were programmed onto the disc, but never included in the game is an even stronger indication that PD did not deliver the product they promised us before GT5's release.

I dot know if I would point the finger directly at Kaz. While yes, he can be blamed for the molasses like pace that GT5 was developed, I believe that if the decision was his and his alone, GT5 would not have been released until he felt it was good and ready. In my opinion, it was the coin counters at Sony who forced Kaz to release the game before it was finished.
