IMO, I think the suv was at fault. The pedestrian was acting casual not looking around, so it must have been walk. If it was walk, the PT cruiser must have had the green light. So im guessing it was the Suvs fault.

Btw. Tabs just reminded me of Tercel Then I remembered that if Tercel saw something like that, he would make a smartass remark.

Real:
Why do traffic cameras have to be low quality? High quality cameras are cheap now.
Looks pretty good to me.
The sudden color lightness when the PT rolls on scene could be caused by the camera adjusting for additional light or dark.
The PT appears to lock up its breaks and vear left right before impact.

I would say that the PT ran a red light, and the man was walking 'against' a no-walk. Both are at fault, the SUV driver pays the price. The pedestrian is also not in the cross walk, but walking on the "stop here" line for red lights.

Fake:
Where's my story? Videos on the internet from an unreliable source with no story or even a location are 99.999% of the time total bumpcus.
It's too ... 'perfect'.

I'm going to stick with real, for now. But there's lots of missing information. It's all very likely - I've seen similar situations from the building I work in. On the fourth floor we have a view of a bad intersection where people used to smash into eachother about once a week. Concequently they've made it a "no left turns - ever" intersection.

As for the film, I am unsure whether it is real or fake. . . I can see it being real by the reaction of the guy. The moment the brakes squealed he did turn and reacted. . . but the speed that SUV was hit at and the imapct of the PT does lead to me wondering. . . The moment the SUV was hit, the driver must have juked the wheel to the left because of the imapct. That would cause the SUV in that situation to flip the way it did. . . I would say the PT impacted around 15 mph - 20 mph. . . I still don't know though. . .

This also makes me scared to an extent because I wake down the busiest road in my new home town at night and day to get to work now. . .

I think the SUV in the video is a Mazda Tribute, you can tell by the front fascia.

If you look slowly before the SUV hit the pedastrian, the pedastrian looked at the car and made a sudden motion to the left, then he was rammed by the SUV, that's another reason for it being real.

Edit: I also noticed when the SUV hit the kid and it flipped what appears to be a wheel fell out. But when the SUV is on it's roof, all 4 wheels are intact. Unless it's the pedastrian's head was rolling around.

I had trouble locating what was left of the pedestrian after the impact. I think the white pile to the right of the SUV is the person's remains.

There's another thing I noticed after the PT hit's the SUV it spin's but there are no marks on the road, it most likely should've made mark's all over the road from point of impact to spinning then finally coming to a stop, shouldn't it?

That white pile seem's like it's the part of the SUV where the PT hit it. After the impact the pedastrian must be against the bottom of the vehicle or in peices all around the point of impact between the SUV and pedastrian.

WOW that sucks! but i have to say that it looks pretty fake. Just look at the trees! everything is pretty smooth but those trees are really jumping around. And the PT is a little choppy also. But that really really sucks for that dude walking if it's real. WOW
