I'm planning on doing the Suzuka 1000 KM in an X1 today.
Why in an X1?
Surely that would make for a very boring race?
Yes it will, but for all the distance endurance races, I want to finish it as quick as possible.
If the Suzuka race had a time limit, I would use an underpowered car to make the race interesting. But this is not the case so the quicker I finish it, the better.
So, my question, how long would it take to finish the Suzuka 1000 KM in the dry in an X1?
I need to know so that I can clear a schedule in my day.

Im doing it at the moment. Fuel runs out every ~20 laps, but i pit every 12 for fresh tires to rip apart. Each pit stop costs about 1min when you're refuelling 70 litres. It'll take me 4h, but you can do it in 3.5.

It took me about 4 hours in the X1. Most of the time I was just crusing and never really tryed for a fast lap. Not much point really as after a short while into the race the cars were spread out to the point that I was lapping someone on every lap.

I pit every 19 laps for fuel.
Tyres are fine on the racing softs.

Tyres are probably fine if you don't crash most of the time :D.

Pitting less also doesnt really help since you still need to refuel the same amount over all the pit stops, so more for fresh tyres is better - unless your tyres are perfect at that point.

Yeah, I only pit for fuel.

I've yet to do that Endurance race on A Spec (it's been unlocked for ages) cos I'd find it too boring. But I do use the X1 for B Spec on there but it's always just before I goto bed, so no idea of times.

A quick question though, my B spec level overall is 31 but I have 6 drivers and one of them is lvl 34. To get the B Spec prize X1 do you need the overall lvl 35 or a singles driver's level of 35?

It was my understanding that you would need to have lvl 40 to use the X2010.
If I got you right, you have the X2010, you are level 31 SpecB (I suppose less than 34 SpecB) and you can use the beast in the B events...
Can you confirm? Thanks

Yes I am level 31 A Spec and completed RedBull challenge and level 31 B Spec. But I have been using the X1 with my B Spec driver since he was level 30 overall (only on the long endurance races where I don't have to babysit him)

1 minute 10 seconds multiplied by 172 = 3 hours 20 minutes and 40 seconds
That would be very hard to do. Don't forget there are other cars out there and after a few laps they will be in your way every lap plus it takes over a minute to refill the tank and you need to do this several times during the race.

I plan to do Suzuka in the X1 mainly so I can practice the car on that track then attempt to gold the Vettel challenge on Suzuka :P

Though I'm not quite sure if I can focus for 4 hours, that car takes a lot of concentration.

Yeah, so about 4 hours with room for error.

1 minute 10 seconds is an average lap time.
For the Vettel challenge you'll have to do about 5 seconds less.

Yea, my problem is consistency, I'll get one really good lap then screw up the second, or the other way around.
I figure 160+ laps in an X1 on Suzuka will help me get into the rhythm of it better.

I didn't get Gold in the Vettel Challenge for nothing you know ;)

I've just finished suzuka1000km in rain in X2010 in just over 4 hrs 30mins. I found the intermediate racing tyres were supreme for cornering the whole race (even though every pit stop insisted i had rain tyres on). Not once did it dry up. I dont think there will be much difference for me if it was dry, since i was able to have the power down without any driving aids at all and as much lock as the DS3 allows me in most corners.
Can someone confirm if this is a good time? my best lap was 1:14:434 and i probably averaged 1:20:xxx. I had one howler where i forgot to pit for fuel and had a 4 min lap!

And try suzuki 1000km in X2010 in the rain COCKPIT view. If anyone can show me them doing it I will eat my dirty socks.

Same here 👍

4 hrs is really good for Suzuka when I did it in a Non Tuned Xanavi GTR it took me 6 hrs 12 mins so taking 2 hours off the top makes me want to do this endurance race again as 4 hrs isn't that bad.

It took me seven hours plus to do this race in a castrol tom's supra cuz it rained after 2 hours. MOST BORING RACE EVER! Should have went with the X1 but I wanted an even race.
