A couple of months ago I saw a movie, wich was posted by Egghead. It was a formula one car on suzuka wet. I haven't seen the suzuka wet track in the PAL version of GT4. Is it in the game or not?

Those wet races are easy btw, i won the Hard one against a Audi R8 with my Fairlady Z JGTC '02 :)

(ok, it has 947HP)

I have tried the Hard Tsukuba Wet race with no luck. I tried it in everything i have that thas a shot at winning, an R8 and an Minolta Toyota. Do i just suck or is there something i'm missing? the other car seems like it is riding on rails and mine on oil(or water).

Suzuka wet. That brings back memories of a terrible Formula One race. Anyone remember the Japanese Grand Prix of 1994? Unbelievably wet conditions at the Suzuka circuit! I remember at the start Schumacher, Hill and Frentzen just drove away from everyone, and the rest of the field was just chaos. Drivers were spinning off *on the straight*, Martin Brundle spun off, hit a marshal who was attending another car that had already spun off in the same location (the marshal broke his leg). Schumacher in the Benetton was pulling away by a few seconds per lap as he usually does in such conditions, Frentzen could have had the mother of all crashes trying to overtake Hill but he swerved and managed to only have a little off-track excursion. Absolute chaos!

I doubt GT4 will attempt to replicate monsoon conditions such as those. It will probably be more like a surface layer of water.

This is I think the only time when driving aids are useful, try putting them back on and see if it makes a difference.

That race was red flagged wasn't it? Damon Hill eventually won after the restart due to the aggregate times that were used to determine the grid's timed completion of the full race. Schumacher was physically ahead... but Damon was ahead by some 1 - 2 seconds. Or was it they other way around? Can't remember.

I remember seeing that on the news or ESPN I can't remember. Really crazy from the highlights I saw.

Yeah Damon Hill did win. Schumacher was ahead by about 8 seconds after the first section of the race, it only lasted a few laps before they stopped it, it was just too wet. If they hadn't stopped it, I honestly think Schumacher, Hill and Frentzen would have been the only drivers to finish. They seemed to be the only drivers who could control their cars in such conditions.

In the second half it was much drier, just like a normal wet race. Schumacher took the lead again, then he had to make an extra pitstop because Benetton miscalculated the fuel he needed to finish the race. He was behind Hill and didn't at first realise that Hill was far ahead because of this. When he realised how far behind he was, he began to push and take 2 seconds per lap out of Hill. It looked like Hill had more traction, but Schumacher was taking more risks in the fast sections. It wasn't enough. Hill won by about 3 seconds. Truly impressive driving from both men.

Very simple : take a 4WD car and that's it, an easy win... take for example the Impreza Race Car and you'll be seconds ahed....

Not always true. Used my Lancer Evolution VII RS w/ 501whp and kept getting whupped. Ended up using a GT40 w/ everything but weight reduction and just out drove the car.

This track brings the PS2 to its knees!

Start doing doughnuts in a car on Suzuka wet and you can watch GT4's framerate take a serious hit! That track must be just over the limit of what the PS2 can deliver.

Your 19, drift, drive a panda miata, and play GT4, that is so hot 👍

Heh. Dude if you really wanna try and flirt with girls on a forum like this, you might wanna impress her with your attention to detail and wish her a happy brithday today. :x

Thanks for the help guys i'll try some of your suggestions.

On the wet surface, your breaking points need to be farther back. The way I beat this race easily was just to take out the 787B :) Worked pretty good. Just bump em real hard in his back and just drive to the win!

Color me stupid...where do you get the Impreza Race Car?

There are two Impreza "race cars" (ignoring the 4 rally car iterations, of course).

One is the Cusco JGTC Impreza and is purchasable from the Subaru dealership. However this one is FR (front-engine, rear-wheel-drive), so I assume that isn't the one you are asking about.

The other is the Impreza Super Touring Car (essentially the same as the Impreza LM from GT3) and is won from the Stars of Pleiades race at the Subaru dealership (any Impreza or Legacy can enter the race and it isn't a difficult race at all). The Impreza Super Touring Car is 4WD and is the highest hp Subaru I've run across yet at around 700hp fully tuned (whereas the JGTC car maxes at around 600hp and the production Subarus peak in the 550hp and less range).

Ah...thanks! The Racing/Touring thing messed me up. Appreciate the help.

Try super soft racing tires. It makes a difference.
