I'll be the first to say good work. Especially with the RX-7 (but you've heard all that already)
Keep it up brother.

I can't say anything mainly because 56k can't handle 29 megs very well.. sorry i couldn't watch your vid.. I would have loved to judge it but :)

Good entry vid bud. Keep up the practice. You've got a good start going!

thanks for all the awesome comments! if you see anything i should improve on let me know!

For you 56kers, there's a 17mb version up now at about the same quality. If that isn't low enough... I'm sorry and I'll maybe try again

Oh ok, well don't be afraid of the throttle!(like I was!) just go in there and see how far you can get the car sideways. Seriously, go and have fun.

Also, work on your lines a bit. you seem to be taking a very very short, odd line. You nail the double apex! Sweet!, but then you fall short on some of the much less complex corners.....

So just dont be afraid to be aggressive!

Very good advice...

I would also add that you should work on your countersteering... Do you use the dual analog sticks?... Or at least the left analog stick for steering?...

;)

yes i do have ds2. yes i use the sticks. left-steering right-gas/brake
which corners do you talk about falling short on and having a weird line?

You get that chicane after teh double apex pretty well. But the other corners you usually start drifting late. So you end up not being able to take advanteage of the entire width of the given road.

The best example is the big left sweeper. You start kinda late, so when you're coming out of the corner, it looks and probably feels a bit incomplete.

This is what I mean by lines. Try to take a racing line. The best line that I saw was in the FD on the double apex. And that one was still a bit short.(that's a hard turn so no shame there!). But you should start drifting earlier. This will open up a whole new world for you. Trust me....personal experience.

ya , on the big left sweeper, i couldnt get the drift initated on the first try so thats what happened to that.
im already working on making some laps for the next vid, and im not telling what track its at! lol.

but thanks for the comments, keep them coming. and ill keep them in mind for future reference.

Swift is absolutely right...

Also, since you are using the dual analog sticks (like myself) try and make smaller more precise adjustments with the sticks... Just like with the throttle and brakes, the analog sticks allow you to hold your countersteer just where you need it, and then you can make small adjustments to keep the drift smooth and in total control... It will take a while to get used to, but eventually people won't be able to tell you are using a controller...

I look forward to seeing your progress... Keep us updated with any new vids or clips...

If you need help with tuning or technique, send me a PM and I will help all I can...

;)

thanks swift!
silvia, thanks for the controller advise, that is one thing that i constantly try to improve. ive got tons of clips i can capture real quick if you wish to see?
umm, i think ive pretty much got my tuning down, and as for my technique, i think i pretty much have that down also, i just need to work on my entry speeds and like you guys said, work on my lines.

edit, scratch the basing the vid around one track, im just going to put some clips together.

You've got great skills ;) just need to work on your countersteering ;) your probably better than me lol ...

thanks man! and yes i agree with you on the c/s. ive got another vid im workin on as we speak, should be done within this week, at the latest next monday.
the vid im workin on, is more flashy, and it is also longer. im not basing it on one track. basically, with the vid you saw, i wanted to get it out, and see how i stack up against all of you GTP-ers and what all of you think of how im doing, my skill, advise, etc. thats basically all that i was wanting to get out of that vid.

u have nice skill but liek swift said start ur drift earlier be aggressive dont be afraid to push the car farther than u think it will go :) and i look forward to seeing ur new video

my new vid should be out either tonight, or sometime tomorrow. ive got the vid together, i just need to save the actual vid so its one. and its going to be about 4 mins long, so it will be bigger, and hopefully better!

actually, i take that back, it should be out between now, and next monday. doing a bit of revising.

nice work Suzuki, i just dont like apricot hill anymore though, no offense, I just played that track so many times, when I first learned how to drift, and now I'm just sick of it, but you do got skillz.

Thanks, and ya i know how ya feel. thats where i started out drifting, my home track so to speak, but ya now im moving up to other tracks as you can tell in my Drift Ecstasy vid i made and put up.
