Hey guys,
I'm sorry for posting a problem in my first post but I realy had a bad week with Thrustmaster, hope you can help for their, Thrustmasters, won't be coming soon.
My first problem is with my T500 RS. Ones I plug it in it starts rotating all the way to left, then to right, and then again to left, right and goes on and on. I installed the latest drivers, and the newest firmware and nothing, the same problem. The Thrustmaster control panel verifies the wheel, status ok, and the wheel it self just continues to rotate to infinity. Can you please help, anybody? And I'm sorry If someone else had the same problem and It's been talked about but I searched the site, and the web couldn't find anything similar.
My second problem is with my T300 base, wich I bouth second hand, but It didn't come with the power cord, so I massaged Thrustmaster like 40 days ago about it, and still nothing, so I decide DIY way. Bad idea. I made one, plugged just two bottom left pins one the base it self, for the showed the transformer lines, resistance of the transformer, the base went on, but started buzzing. I plugged the usb in to computer, it started to calibrate but after like 10 seconds it fried, bravo for my and my wits. Now I know I have to buy the original power cord, which was mine original idea, but any idea what have I fried in the base?
Please understand me, and my foolishness, as you can imagine I had a bad week. :(
Thanks to all in advance!

Hey John, thanks a lot for this link, It should do the job, I just hope that It's only the power supply that blew. I'll ask there, but to put it on here also, since I need to replace the power supply, can I, with some mode, use the T500 power brick on the T300 base?

I think the short answer to that question is no, Wallace -- the T500 power brick has a different/unique pinout, and it would be much easier to go with a more standard power adapter.

FWIW, in that thread I provide a link to a 3A power supply that should work, but you might want to get one with a slightly higher rating (4A or above) just to be sure. I have that power supply on-hand, but I haven't had time to try to repair my damaged TX yet, so I can't comment on whether that 3A unit will be reliable enough.

Hope this helps!

EDITED TO ADD: Since I ordered all the parts I have listed, if you'd like for me to send you a fuse holder and a couple of fuses, drop me a PM with your mailing address and I'd be glad to help you out, since I have extras that won't be used.

Well, since I have been tired of waiting for TM customer support I went ahead, again, and did it myself, again, but this time it worked! :) So what I did yesterday was I opened the T500 base and took the 4 DIN female connector. Then I opened the T300 base, took the power supply out along with It's 4 pin connector. Then cut its, the T300 power supplies connector for the mainboard, soldered the two thick red and black wires to the T500 DIN connectors + and -, and voila. :) Put everything back into the T300 base, used the plastic part that holds the original T300 4 pin power connector and screwed the T500 4 DIN to it, and I was ready to go. Put the T500 wheel, pedals and shifter to T300 and everything worked beautifully, went ahead and played some Asetto Corsa. :)
Now I'm left with T500 base that needs to be fixed, but I don't see that happening any time soon, good thing I have my T300 working.
John, sorry for not listening to you, but thank you for your response and the link, it, you gave me idea to this, so thanks a lot! :)

You are AWESOME, Wallace -- great work taking the initiative on this! For most people who don't have a non-functional T500 that they could use to cannibalize the 4-pin DIN connector, it would be useless to try to adapt the T500 power brick, mainly because the power brick itself is an expensive unit.

Since you already had a non-functional T500 that you could "borrow" the 4-pin DIN connector from, and you already had the functional T500 power brick, it makes sense that this would be do-able for you.

BRILLIANT! Kudos for being motivated enough to try to make it work with what you had on-hand, and congratulations for ending up with a fully-functional T300 as a result!

  👍 :gtpflag:

Yeah John, now I have a true hybrid, best of both worlds, a T300 base with all the best parts of the T500. :) Glad I could post something useful. As for the female 4 pin DIN, it's not T500 specific, you could buy it separatly, then It's only a matter of which ones to use. Anyhow, It was great to get it working, especialy after thinking I had burned the whole thing. :)
