TCV5 HURRY THE HELL UP thread

It's only because of the weight limits for each category RJ, take as much or as little notice of the higher WPR as you like. So long as it's above the lower limit and your car is within it's weight and power ranges it won't matter, the WPR will work itself out. 👍

Mafs, could you give me a 👍 or a 👎 at this method of defining which class I'm entering:

~ MIDDLEWEIGHT ENTRY ~
Horsepower: 356bhp
Weight: 1079kg
Power to weight ratio: 3.032

Cheers. :)

👍👍

That satisfy ya?? :P

That was spot on what I meant, the Lancer's going to have some problems.....as am I, thinking of a good middleweight contender. My supercar one will be something to remember. It's going in GME first then coming to hurt the battle monster. ;)

I love this time of the year lol..... I'm working on a underdog, it's overweight and underpowered.... It will make for a good race, Oh and it's lightweight IMHO

My middle weight car needs a bit of brake and suspension tweaking, then she's ready to blow the rest out of the water.

Ok so im thinking about joining in, but a few questions before i do. I saw the main thread with the power, weight, and power to weight ratio, s3 tires . . .etc. Now do i enter the tune and the judges drive, or do i make the tune and I drive? (sorry Im new to the tuner challenge)

I entered my lightweight entry, but now I realised it's weight is too low. That isn't bad as long as it's in the wpr range?

Sadly Vince, not quite, the weight levels are there for a reason. :/

5-10kg I could see an exception for, but 106kg? Bit much of an advantage in terms of cornering and braking.

Maybe use ballast?

I'm working on my lightweight, but I realised it's classed as a tuner car.

*PM's Mafs*

You enter the tune, we do the judging as was outlined in the second post. ;) There are four judges. All four judges will test your cars with the lowest score being dropped since people like myself (who will be judging) cannot judge our own rides, I need the other three to judge my ride, hence the lowest score being dropped. 👍

Vince, it may be too underweight for the LIGHTWEIGHT category, but it's WPR is still good enough to have it in the SUPERCAR category. 👍 But that battle monster is a hell of a lot faster to compete against. ;) So you can either make it heavier for the LIGHTWEIGHT class or leave it as is and go for the SUPERCAR class. 👍

Sweet. bergauk released a sweet R32 last time for TCv4, it will be good to see how you go this time around Supra Addict. 👍 Good luck.

I'm just cooking up something for MIDDLEWEIGHT. ;)

Get ready for another MR battle with your NSX Roj. :mischievous: Mine is almost the same weight (less than 20kg more), more power & I guarantee more torque.

It's already tearing around GVS in a GME record 1.56 on S3's! You don't want to know what I'm doing around Motegi. ;)

Hmm...

Lightweight attempt 1: Semi-fail. Great car but no shot against the Opera.
Accidental Middleweight 1: Fail. Too slow for the power, although decent to drive.
Heavyweight 1: Pretty decent so far but too much understeer until the rears break traction, due in no small part to the "wrong" dimensions of the car; it needs to be about two feet shorter and a foot wider. It is however as close as possible to the power and weight stops

I was just wondering (as i am tuning my dc5r for the lightweight entry) would tire spinning/shredding 2nd gear torque hurt my overall car ratings?

Oh and do i HAVE to beat the Opera's best time around the circuit? Or is it just a guide, as in something to aim for?

My supercar entry= Probable fail, but an interesting one. Thecar that I intend to use produces exactly 575BHP when the correct parts are bought. Can easily be 1601KG with ballast as well. So far, it is a beautiful car to drive, if a bit slow. It is set up for Motegi East though, so expect much shorter gearing than stock.

It's something to aim for in one category (laptime vs monster) but by having a good handling and powerful car, the times will easily come and you'll get a good score in that area too.

Remember senamic, it can be lighter so long as it's WPR is over 2.785. :)

Does TCv5 mean I have to stop playing Forza 2?

Yes. :P

My only issue now is that i have to use 3rd to turn and power thru the corners (even though that has proved to be excellent) not being able to use 2nd gear could hurt my score right? :S

Its a two edged sword :(

I look forward to it. :sly:

And I'll pull some Initial D-tastic moves on that Opera. Go Trueno! :D

I detuned a car from my garage to meet the power requirement and made a pretty decent middleweight. 50hp less than the Evo, around the same weight, yet it's faster. Just need to figure out what rear end gear to use.

I got a couple others under consideration too.

That signature of yours says otherwise Supra Addict. :P

It's great to see so many of you getting tunes together so quickly, this should shape up to be one of the toughest Tuner Cups yet. 👍

Next stop for me, developing my HEAVYWEIGHT contender. I'm aiming for 450hp and just over 1300kg to make a decent competitor. 👍

Aww, but but but but....

In Forza you can change setting during free run without exiting :(

It's alright I got at least cars for light weight and medium as well.
