anybody want to team up with me in the A4 for the DTM series?

I know it starts really soon, but I think we should be able to hold our own, and we'd have 3 teams representing euro racers in the DTM, all in Audis!

Ill try to get some laps in the viper tonight, dont have alot of time though.
 
I'll run a few quick laps later today when I get home from work and post my times when time permits! This sounds like fun, though I'd love to have used the Team Oreca Viper but the GTS is still cool! :D
 
Yeah it was a possibility but then I thought it would be too easy so GTS would be more of a challenge in my opinion.
 
would it be a logical assumption to assume that we're staying with the default (S2) tire settings for this? I ask because it wasn't mentioned and only info about power/weigth was.

things have been pretty quiet..

Hows everybody thats running looking in the DTM? I have some T-times posted in the DTM thread, but noone has really put much up to compare to. I know the BMW M3GTR is faster than the A4, Im just curious how much..

I havent been grip racing recently, found more fun in drifting was wondering if anyone wanted to help put a team drift vid up?

Sorry gents...was out playing some basketball this past weekend for the first time in a long long time and ended up twisting my ankle to the point of needing to visit the emergeny room to get it wrapped. so, as one would expect, I've not been able to get any seat time recently, thus haven't been doing a whole hell of a lot of web surfing, as I've had my arse planted on my couch watching a lot of TV with the good ole' foot raised and iced! :(

I'll more then likely be out for another 3-5 days, so if anyone needs to get in contact with me regarding the DTM race...or anything 'team related', please do hit me up via email, as that's about all I do now on my PC (Only because I'm looking for a new job) for the time being.

Thanks man, 7th place and 5 points is excellent in the car that really isn't the best....

Well, I'm disappointed with my 10th places, but I'll live with them. After all, that's racing for ya!

Actually I dont think its gonna be that uncommon to see the audis down the ladder alittle bit, at least until the BMWs start getting some serious weight added. The audis and opels seem pretty well matched though, which is good. I feel bad for the poor guys driving the alfas though, they dont seem to have a chance..

Dont worry about your 10th nitro, My first run on the 6 lapper was about where you were, but then I played with the tires on the AI and the gearing, then realized i couldnt play with AI tire settings, and was able to get down to 5'03.xxx, ran two more dirtys, then the one I submitted, 5'00.860.

EDIT, last post made it sound like I was cheating with AI tires.

I agree, the Audi's certaintly aren't the best, so well done for where you came :bowdown:
 
ja, thanks X. I dunno what to do to try to get the audi to move alittle faster. i wish we were running in GT mode, then we could at least look at settings together, as Audi drivers and come up with the best setup. Since were stuck in arcade, we definately have to deal with the slower car.

Well we can share laps and racing lines and all? what do you reckon?
 
sounds great to me.

We will need all the help we can get if were gonna beat them.
