ok this is my 844hp R32 setup

ForcedInductionwow mike, extremely different awd settings than mine. THe auto set gear ratio...14?! i wonder how fast it would change gears.
By the way mike, are you using sim tires all around?
kainzerohaha, this reminds me of a simpsons episode.
"oh no, the english instructions are covered in cement! i have to use the french instructions. LE GRILLE? WHAT IS LE GRILLE?"
SwiftYeah, that was pretty funny.
Mike: You mix your tires? what for. from what I've seen you've got some skill. Why take the easy way out and mix tires and unbalance your car?
mike le chat noyes I use this mix for all my cars with no exception and I find that is a perfect balance.I don't like when your car regain traction during your drift and that is the trouble when I put the same tires all around.with a good setting, this tires mix and a little practice you can have a good skill and a progressive drift![]()
SwiftHmm....that sounds like more of a technique problem then a tire problem. Or possibly a HP situation. Either way, mixing tires simply isn't smart and true to life drifters(pros) don't do it. I know that some guys put garbage on the rear just to save money. But the pros don't.
This will probably come out a lot more in GT4, but when you mix tires you are upsetitng the natural balance of the care. It's like wearing two different shoes. YOu have to make so many adjustments to make it look like you're walking correctly. Unless of course you're a place kicker on an NFL team. This is part of the reason why when everyone saw your settings, it was such a surprise.
I must say that I'm quite surpised. I have seen you do some extremely long drifts, but I was giving that over to skill, now I see that part of it is taking a shortcut.
.
SwiftOk, well the vids are good. But the technique is unsound my friend.
mike le chat nolol, yes I don't have a lot of money💡 so I put mix tires

I saw your point of view but you know, I m'not a (pro) drifter, perhaps I have some skill but I find that my setup it's perfect (for me) and I could not make all my best drift lap without him
no trouble![]()
SwiftI like you Mike. You've got a good attitude and aren't easily offended. Good stuff.
MdnIteMike, you have a very strange style of setup! =) But it must work for you lol...
silviadrifterAgreed...
I must say I fully agree with Swift... There just isn't any reason to mix tires... Also, your spring rates and bound/rebound settings are quite odd...
I tried your settings and with a bit of tweaking, and sim tires all around, they work quite well... I turned the spring rates around, and evened out the bound/rebound settings... After that, the R32 was drifting beautifully...
I must say, I sat there for 10 minutes trying to figure out how you got the gear ratioas how you did with the auto setting at 18... When I set it to 18 the gears are really short.. Even after adjusting the individual gears I was not able to achieve such a stretched out ratio (shown in the first post)... It doesn't really matter though, because I was able to find a good setting for the gears nonetheless...
Keep up the good work...

mike le chat noone shall be able debate for a long time on this subject but I think that the most important is that each is a setup which pleases him![]()
so for the gear ratio... to begin, you must put the auto level and the final gear at the max to the right . after you put the auto level at 18 and put the final gear to the left as you wish
edit: when you start this setup you must put the auto level before the final gear![]()
silviadrifterI'm looking at it purely from the standpoint of what each part does and what that effects... Your spring settings (and a few other minor things) are just out of the norm, and increases the cars tendency to understeer (which is a problem with the R32 GTR)... It's nothing against you, I'm just wondering what your thinking was when you created some of these settings... I don't mean that in a nasty way... I really am just curious to know...
RX-7_FC_DrIfteRi really like your set up mike le chat no
ND4SPDHow about setting for the R34? Or are they the same as the R32?
