It's amazing how many comments get made on the video in a few minutes. It's one of the most popular videos at the moment.
 
The item server (presumably) resets in an hour. Seems like a logical time to drop the update.

And it requires a dollar to get all the good stuff from the update. You don't need them to play MvM, but for some achievements and for greater goodies, get a ticket.

Horrible download speed? Fine. I can live with 340-380kb/s download speed... for 20 minutes. My mother's iPhone just took a dump on our WiFi, now it's at 10kb/s :banghead:
 
I've got the update downloaded, however it's impossible to get into a game. There's nearly 9000 people in the queue and not even 100 servers. My estimated wait time to get into a server has been stuck at 33 minutes for the past 15 minutes. It's a huge log jam. Hopefully more servers come up so I can try and play tomorrow :indiff:
 
For those trying to get into a game of MvM, use the server browser insted of the automated matchmaking feature. You'll have better luck getting into a game that way.

I was lucky enough to get into a server, and played through a round on each of the three maps. It was a lot of fun 👍 Some of the later waves do get fairly difficult, but never to the point where it seems ridiculously hard. Even if you do fail, it lets you restart back at the beginning of the wave to try again.

Happens pretty much everytime after a major update due to the heavy server traffic 👎
 
It will be fine in 8 hours, every time there is a new valve game update, all the things related to making the game run online take a massive hit. Apparently for the Left 4 Dead games it took up to 24 hours to get everything back to normal.

But I eventually did get a few rounds in, and I enjoy the game mode. However, each squad of 6 must have a Medic running Krtizkreig, a Pyro, and a Engineer. Those three classes all do a great job.

Can't wait to play with you all in the near future! :D
 
F2P doesn't necessarily mean "everything is free." You can still find the items, just not as easily as with a ticket.

you actually can receive items for free. random item drops.

you could even exploit it by joining "idle servers", and leaving your PC on just to rack up those item drops :lol:

rare item drops are exclusive to mann up, but I think there's still an Item drop with that other mode too :lol:
 
I can't now anyway, but here's an easier way to connect to MvM:

Go on server and search for "mvm". Then put max players to 6, and you should find an MvM server!
