NEXT TOURNEY WILL BE NEXT TUESDAY. IT WILL BE THE ISUZU 4200R CONCEPT '89[/B]

I was thinking of starting a JDM car tourny. But first i would like to get some help on figuring out 10 cars to use in this tourny. One car i will not allow in this tourney is the GTR Vspec 09 due to the fact that every one and their mother has good tunes on theirs...

It will be held on Fuji from shadow to shadow which is 407 meters long. Only 7 meters longer than a quarter mile. Indy measures out at 370 meters, 30 meters short of a quarter mile.

The event will be held on a weekly basis 1 cars per day.

Winner of the whole event will receive a car painted with a color from the dlc.

Rules:
All runs will be best of three.
The championship will be a best of five.
2 jumps = 1 loss if both people jump they both will be counted as a jump.

There will be a points system.
1 point for everyone that enters
3 points for 3rd place
4 points for 2nd place
5 points for 1st place

Nice to see all these tournaments popping up. Glad to see the community coming together and supporting these events even without an official dragstrip. Maybe if we keep putting together these type of events PD will take notice and give us a proper dragstrip to run on! Good luck with your event!👍

I noticed a surge in membership here in drag racing forum after putting "GTPlanet/Drag Racing" in my exit message. I encourage others to do the same 👍

Will do. We need all the help we can get. There are many people that don't even know what gtp is and if we can get them to join the forum and vote for Bandimere Speedway, maybe we can get it higher on the list so PD will implement it.
 
Is anyone else coming? NUTZ's muscle car tourney will be on at the same time and will probably go there if no one shows up here.

Crap I was tuning for Indy. Oh well, I hope some final gear adjustments won't affect my tune much :lol:


On a side note, is it just me or do you seem to get more grip at Fuji than Indy? When tuning for the SSR7 event some of my cars launched insanely good, enough to noticeably make a difference.

yup definitely more grip..... wish i could have stayed :indiff:
 
Good event, got matched up with fastest guy first round while having to alter my tune for Fuji :grumpy:

Some suggestions for next time:

  • Put up brackets beforehand so people know who they will be racing
  • Make it clear who will be ghosting and who will be at finish
  • 2 jump rule and your out is a good idea 👍
  • Best out of 3 runs, best out of 5 in final while alternating lanes

Looking forward to next competition :D
 
Don't forget after this event I will be starting the modern muscle tournament. Same track.

Est. start time is 11pm est but if we have enough people we can start right after this one ends, reply in my thread to reserve a spot.
 
oh that was a great tournament, i even froze on the line cause of the so much tension lol, DiZZLE, that was great racing, i went in tournament with no hopes of winning and expecting to lose cause all of the people on that tournament are the greatest of the greatest of drag racing, to me it was a great show, my family watch me race and they were exited and they where rooting for others as well, man it was great time, im looking foward to be at these tournaments, mr 8 and mr gv yall the greatest, your tournaments are well organize, great people, great drag racing and a hell of a show

Thanks aka. Next tuesday well do it all over again. Mugen S2000 and the gnx. That best out of five got us both. I almost pulled it off it was 2 to 2 and ded_84 caught me sleeping in that 5th run. that svt race between me and you was so friking close i couldnt even tell who won i was looking at my rpms and my car at the same time.
