I agree with Pink about the R33 being the most beautiful generation, because I'm just biased towards 33s, but as Leo said, the R34 is a far closer match to a Supra RZ. And if Downshift is so confident that an R34 can't touch an RZ, then I'm sure he won't object to us using one.

At least Pink shows some humility and admits that an R34 on maximum spec could well be faster than a Supra at the same level.

And as for the R390 versus the GT-One, most of us wouldn't want to use the R390 anyway: it is not a Skyline. Downshift, you said that this is Toyota vs. Nissan - it isn't, we are the Skyline Squadron, and we only drive Skylines in this or any other competition. We're not a general Nissan team.

Any confirmation on a start date for the First Round with the JGTC cars?

umm well for one, i never sed the car cant touch the RZ. i know on the right track the car is faster, but on the RING.... it cant handle turns like an RZ, and 80MPH and up your car cant keep up with mine. eazy as that. i have no prob with telling some one there car is faster than mine, wen the car is really faster. but the R34 is not, ya on 1 or 2 tracks you can get me but you have to make me drop lower than 50MPH for at lest 40% of the track to beat my supra with a GT-R. i dont want to sound like an ass man, but i've done all the testing i need. the supra is a faster car than the GT-R.
 
Well, I'm gone for a week now, visiting my family in Belgium so we could start next Monday (not the Monday which is coming!) so we can start the JGTC race here:


-3 drivers; team leader + 2 drivers
-confirmation will be done with screenshots or whatever.
-we can discuss the other rounds later.

Allright.. If you are so certain, put your magnificent 900bhp+ Supra on the 'ring on R3's and let us know the time. Then some of us will send best time in R34. I think we could do that as our amusement before going to the serious stuff.

Yes, PJDownshift.. it's ON! and send a picture of your time if you can, so there's smaller chance of cheating.

ground rules: R3 tyres, no R5's since they would be ridiculous in this kind of playful challenge.. any mods you like. <<<<{{{{{ EXCLUDING NOS!! send a pic of you driving on nurb so we can see if you have NOS on board or not. same rules apply on our chosen racer. powerful cars don't need chemical horses, they need a skillful driver.. }}}}}>>>>

and our driver will probably be either DE, Greycap, Electric or Viper.

I'm going to agree with Electric, and say that you might want to throw a few less challenges around if you're 'not going to push it,' Downshift :p

o well your guys are ones who put out the challenge not me lol and on a setup made to run on R5's (makes the car into a D1 car wen you run R3s :P ) i gota 6'08 i car cud go a lot faster but i i'de need to retune for the slicker tires, and seeing as wer just playing around there no point in retuning :) oh, no nitrous :yuck: i'll get a pic if you need one but it's just a quick 2 lap run it's slow as hell i think the car can drop under 6min with the right setup :)

yup.. go all out if you can with R3's. FYI, if that time with R5's is real, I can tell you already that GT-R is about equal, more or less.. :sly: and with R3's the difference should be wiped out.
 
As Electric points out, you just said we put the challenge down... So follow it's rules! :p If that's your time on R5s so far, well, I beat that on R3s. So try again :)

the time was with R3s dude i was telling you the car is setup for R5s so it slides alot, on R5s i run times you dont need to know about untill it's time. and if all you can do is mach my time wen im not even pushing (at that drifting around the track like it's a D1 battle...) thers no point in retuning the car....
 
naw i dont give up :) but GT4 is the last thing im thinking about becus im sick of playing offline and toca 3 really isnt the best game ever. so im thinking about geting.... dare i say it :nervous: ..... an Xbox and forza :yuck: just becus i cud go b!tch slap "some cars" (ok so i cant stand skylines lol so sue me lol) with my dream car :drool: an AW11 with a 2JZ under the hood :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: and at that i have just picked up tourist trophy to add to my GT games, and befor i can be happy with puting the game down i need to beat it :lol:

Here's a detail we need to sort out - the points system.
I assume that each driver will be given a number of points for the position they finish, and then those points will be added up to give a total for each team?
If that results in a tie, then whichever team won more of the three events should win. (By this I mean add up how many times each team had a driver at the top of the ranking)
How about this for a points scheme...

1st - 10 points
2nd - 6 points
3rd - 4 points
4th - 3 points
5th - 2 points
6th - 1 point

Just so that I have all this straight, if you'll excuse the formality...

Round One of the Inter-Team Competition Between Team Toyota and the Skyline Squadron
Starting Date - Friday 21st April 2006, 0000GMT
Deadline - Friday 5th May 2006, 2359GMT
Track - Suzuka Circuit (GT Mode, Forward)
Format - Free Run Mode -> Single Hotlap
Driver per Team - Three (Team Leader and two others of team leader's choice)
Cars - Team Toyota will use the Toyota WOODONE Tom's Supra (JGTC) 2003
The Skyline Squadron will use the Nissan XANAVI NISMO GT-R (JGTC) 2003
Tyres - Racing 5 (aka. Super Soft / Qualifying)
Parts Changes - NO parts changes permitted. This includes Turbo kits; Rigidity Increase. The only part you are allowed to change is tyres. Rigidity Refresher Plan is allowed.
Oil Change - Allowed
Verification Method - Single Photo of Session Record screen, displaying: Car, Track, Time.

On-Line Racing Standards will be enforced - This includes the following rules:
At least two wheels on the marked track at all times, within the white boundary lines of the circuit;
No contact with the walls of the circuit is permitted.
Particular areas of concern at Suzuka Circuit - Do not run wide at the 130R corner, do not cut final chicane.

It is the team leader's responsibilty to ensure that all of the above rules and conditions are followed.

By the way, we're decided on two weeks being our preference for the running time. What about you guys?

EDIT - Just wondering, do the three drivers have to be the same three for every round? Yes, the team leaders must be in every round, but can the other two change freely? Or do we have to use the same team of three for all rounds?

:confused: at lest one week a race?!?!?!?! that means at even one week a race it's going to take 3 weeks till i can reset my file 💡 how about if you guys really need 3 weeks, we can do this you guys get your fastest driver form the US, get him on xlink we race who ever wins getsa there team 10 points eazy as that. 👍
