Team vs Team Racing

I would love to participate in something like this, but I can’t always get on due to my work rotation (2 weeks away/2 weeks Home).

I had an idea before that all weekly events could be posted at the start of the week, and 2 players from each team could put their name down, as well as having reserve players just incase they can’t make it last minute. Somewhere between 5-10 teams of two per race, 20 car field is good.

If any teams are taking on 28k DR drivers hit me up.

I would really like to put a team together sometime of slower than alien pace people and try one of these type of events.

1. Someone who is the mechanic/tuner and can setup the cars from driver feedback.

2. A few race drivers.

3. Spotters. Someone who could watch eace of their team drivers during the race and give them information on other drivers.

I think that would be an awesome experience.

That sounds good, difficult to setup though. Everyone could be spotters, the mechanic thing not easy but again one of the drivers could be a mechanic also.

Just #2 would be good Rinsky !

It's definitely not an easy thing to setup but I do see some leagues that go this far in-depth. Most are far above the league's you see in this forum and most probably come from IRacing.
It might seem extreme to some but I feel it would be an awesome experience. To have everyone putting much time and effort into their team and all working together to win or lose as a Team.

Is there any teams of slower racers? I'm usually 2-5 seconds off the pace, but I wouldn't mind joining something. Sorry for thread jacking lol.

With Gr3 and Gr4 races, I'm also usually 2-5 seconds slower then the record times, with the N races i'm often within a second from the top 10 times, I'm around 17000 point DR (mid DR-B) so I would love to get in tough with drivers or groups/teams of people with the same level!

Very nice idea man. I would really like to be part of some sort of serious team (I really miss my karting days) but I’m not so fast compared to the aliens, I can get to 1 sec from the top times in a lot of tracks but just don’t have that much time to practice and race...
It would also be a nice “mini-community” for some of the frequent visitors of gtp

Again it's sounds good but for me almost impossible to put together.

1st. you would need to find a tuner willing and able to adjust cars to fit your driving style. Wouldn't have to be top notch at it as we all would be a less than experienced team. But would be eager to learn and experiment. ( I'm definitely not fit for this job).

2nd. Drivers would be the easiest to obtain

3rd. A spotter would have to be a Real Life friend. Someone who could watch the race next to you giving you updates on others, calculating fuel mileage and other important information to you. (I do have a very good RL friend who plays too)

4th. The biggest Obstacle of all
Everyone having the same days and times to play and practice together but finding 5 people to run a 2 car team who can do this will be difficult.
( My friend also works at the same company as me and the same shift)

So I have 3 & part of 4 covered but not 1 & 2
I can't tune and I might not be the best choice for a driver depending on the skill level of the competition we choose to run against. Also my work hours are not normal.

@Rinsky I'd be happy to be a driver, even if we just sit in a lobby and bull**** and drive around a track for a while.
Anyone who wants to do this send a Friend Request to m1ss-d3v10us.

I'm all in.

So what days and hours are both of you available?
I work weekends Friday and Saturday days & Sunday and Monday night's. I only have one Saturday a month for racing and I already run a 1.5hr endurance league on that day so weekends are completely out for me.

That leaves me with Tuesday & Wednesday every week with Tuesday being the day I have the most time day or night.
Like I said in my previous post the time to get everyone together will be difficult for me as I'm very limited on free time.

So what’s our team name? :gtpflag:

Have not even though about that yet.

I work two weeks away then two weeks at home, in my home time I get lots of game time, no access to a ps4 while away. But can do pretty much any time when I'm home with a bit of notice.

I'm free most evenings in eastern standard time, after about 6:30 or 7 pm. The only nights I'm not really on is Wednesday and Saturday. Otherwise I'm on for a few hours.

Team name could be Team Not Fast Enough

NFE Motorsports. Let us never tell anyone what it stands for ;)

Nice we are on the same time zone.

That's great. :lol::cheers:

So lets discuss cars Gr.4 is my favorite class. I completely suck at driving Gr3. Gr.2 Gr.1. Now I'm not saying we should just stick with one class but I would rather help out in other ways in race's where those 3 classes would be ran.

I’m uk time zone btw. I’m half decent in Gr.2 and Gr.3, I’m 1.5 seconds behind the aliens today at dragon trail as a marker.

I can’t race Brands Hatch to save my life.

I'm ok in pretty much anything but road cars. Gr.4 has been my favorite, but the last few days I've been feeling my 'Murica livery Gr.3 Corvette. I'm not the best in Gr.1 but after a few laps, I adjust to the speed and downforce. I also cannot race Brands Hatch to save my life, as well as a few other tracks here and there. Nurburgring is actually fairly strong for me depending on Gr class.
