I have a big, BIG problem with my PC, I have to log off by using ctrl, alt + delete before I shut down because the normal method doesn't work, IO can't download anything I've tried recommended fixes but they only work for a few mins before it all goes to pot again, Zone Alarm and AVG arn't starting up when I turn the computer on and won't respond when I click on their icons and theres a whole load of other niggles going on, the lack of Zone alarm and AVG is really worrying me, I've tried other antivirus programs I have and they don't respond either.

Anyhow, I found this site \http://www.registryfix.com/ and ran a free check which says I have 1275 problems on my PC all over the place, I can actually believe that, I've also been left under the impression that it will fix them all and thats fixed peoples pc's with problems like mine, so I want to ask a: since I never heared of this program before, does anyone know if it works? and b: is there another way to fix it? I would like answers to both, I'm not the most technical guy so if it works I migh just buy it. Also run in the start menu doesn't respond when I click that either, my PC is really screwed.

I haven't used this exact program, but some other registry program a friend sent me ages ago didn't harm my pc. It did improve the performance of my computer. I don't know if it will fix your problem though, you might have to re-install Windows all together if this doesn't work. That is if the problem really bothers you.

If it was just a problem I wouldn't be too concerned, but it's a **** load of them all at once.

Well, from what you're saying, it sounds like there are just too much problems on your PC to fix them with a program; it's just like when it gets infected by more than 5 types of spyware.
In any case, you might as well backup your most important files and format the drive, because trying to fix it could be useless at this point (when you have problems with some of the most basic Windows functions, you know that's the cue to just reformat the whole thing). And when you do, have some antivirus and spyware checking programs ready, and do not get connected to the internet until you have those installed.
