Absolutely false. 👎

It is also off-topic, so I'll throw this thread at you:

I stand corrected.

Although after reading everything, I would say that if tire lock up was not present to begin with, and tires are sufficient, a larger rotor and better pad would stop the car in a shorter distance. The particular Scion Tc that I installed a big brake kit on never locked up the brakes when testing, with both factory and the aftermarket brakes. The rear brakes had factory calipers and slotted rotors.

I know I'm off topic, I apologize, I just wanted to point out I was wrong and although stopping distances can be shortened in some instances, given the right variables, the reason for upgrading brakes is first and foremost, reduced brake fade. GT5 doesn't do brake fade.

lets get it straight:
the reason why I opened this thread was specificly because the particularity of a Hemi engine. I am quite aware of hundreds of turbo/compressor applications in a variety of engine's layouts. For instance, the 3rd generation ( in Brazil ) of the ford fiesta receive a upgrade of a compressor that produces 80 cv instead of the original 64cv of the zetec rocan 1.0litre at the time. The engeneer that was responsable for the project was designed the engine looking for a power output of 300 cv, but, because of taxes referring of overbusted motors here in Brazil, it was aborted. Some applications in Heavy duty trucks can us both turbo or compressor overbust, depending only in the history of the manufecturer in use of this or that types of tecnology.
Despite the singularity of the hesmiferical geometry of the combustion chamber of the engine, the Challenger and old muscles do not differ from other cars produces worldwide. My assumption by trowning the thread was to know how people who owns this types of cars tune it up, and whats the ways in doing it. Yellowclone gives s perfect help in this way, showing us his own expierence in the matter. If somebody wants to know something about tune vw air cooled engines, and some low power engines tune ups, you can count on me coz I have some expirences in that matter. Lets do not deviate too much, it brings some misundestanding and doesnt increase nothing in the matter.
Relevant questions about car dynamics and handling also, should be subjected in other thread, to keep this one for clean foe future searchs, although I think its quite relevant discuss about breaks, clutches, suspensions and so forth in sim race.
Finally, I want to thank you all for the valuable information given till now and I am looking foward for some more; I possibly could google for it but I am satisfied writing and reading from real people worldwide. Also, I apologise for some english mistakes and for going off topic.
cheers!!!

Unlike in GT4, cars in GT5 are available with either turbos or superchargers. Never both as far as I know.

I guess the supercharger just seemed more appropriate for the Challenger, considering the kind of car it is.

I have a Toyota MR2 and I can install either a supercharger or turbocharger. I'm sure there are other cars that let you do this too.

In fact, I think I will buy both for that car and see what the difference is between them.
