The music I listen to is usually completely random.
Mostly Sparta remixes, metal songs from Normal meets Metal (which is awesome), the Madness Combat series music, some tracks from Apocalyptica and Epica, Moribund Mifune, a lot of stuff from Newgrounds including Ultima Eternus Ultimate Edition, Boom Stick, Cocaine (thats just the name, the music has no lyrics.) Madness Clown song of death, Enlightenment (FEEL IT), The Internet is for Music, Death Metal Friday, a few songs from Stratovarious, The Battlefields, the WTF song, I am on a Boat and I am on a blimp, Like a boss, Heavy Metal Trolololo, Heavy Metal Rick Roll, THIS VIDEO CONTAINS ERRORS, multiple heavy metal remixes of Pokemon songs, I could go on and on.

I don't do anything special while drifting but if I'm in an FGT I usually put a helmet and racing suit on and aim 147 fans at my face. 148 was one too many.

lol

Bonnet camera, initial d music, Mazda fc tuned to 275 HP, and go crazy. It's fun drifting low powered cars. I have 3 drift cars, the fc, C63 and my Aston db9

Umm, I'm on a G27 Wheel for starters.. I use a variety of camera views really, My Music Genre is some crazy stuff to get the blood pumping :D And my TV.. Well, Mono sound hehe.

Well me. I drift on a DFGT wheel.
Comfort hard tires of course.
No aids including no abs. I have figured out a great break bias in the wheel that works as a e-brake like i had on my controller back in the day when I used it (right joystick was set) which on the wheel i used no abs and brake balance at zero in the front and seven in the rear. Works great.
The view i drift in is the hood camera (with a wheel it makes no sense for me to use in car camera because i am looking over one wheel then to the next wheel then the hood. So when i look over this
2012-05-03034557_zpscaf3e202.jpg
I see a hood.
I do drift with music and lot. The genre of music depends on my mood though. But with over 300GBs of music usually I can find something to match my mood.
My current favorite car to drift is my 1966 Cobra 427. Bone stock at 494hp. Just a adjustable hight sports kit suspension does me great. I am really smooth with it and love that fact. Check it out this video of me drifting if you like... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CaXLGTxRXPg&feature=youtube_gdata_player
That pretty much sums it up

Super Novi
I am really bad at drifting anything on street BUT the Tank Car. I have all the assists off, I haven't determined what kind of tires that work best with it. In Tsuakuba I can nail the last corner 81% of the time.
I use the controller because my steering wheels pedals are like binary; either on or off.
Off-raod however, I instantly improve overall with pretty much everything. I don't become the best at it, but I get pretty good at. My guess is because of how easy it is to slide to begin with.
I also use the Tank Car to prove that it isn't always used for trolling. I remember I was on Tsuakuba with 12 others. I ghosted every time I went off to let others go by.
So yeah, I guess my favorite car to drift in is the tank car.

Ok like your style. I love drifting the tank car. I drift the whole cape ring track (yes the ring part too with huge angle).

Love it. One question do the gauge work? I have heard about some people getting the rpm gauge to work just wondered if you did.

Cool!
Errr... right sided cockpit scares me a lot IRL (in real life).

I know the feeling. A good friend of mine has 3 lancer EVOs that he had shipped over to the US and they are right hand drive. At first it was kind of weird but after about 20 minutes it felt great. He told me he is left handed and he explained that if you have more coronation in you left hand to him it feels natural. I guess it applies the same way to me because I am left handed too. I love driving them too. He has one that is over 700hp. After you get going you barley have to tap the clutch to shift.

this sounds amazing

Thanks for the love guys!

As for the gauges, they do not work. Only because it would not be supported by the PS3..

Not totally positive on it but I have heard of people getting gauge and tacks to work. You might try to look it up.

stick standard controller 27 inch TV hdmi of course, use only abs on 1 no other help, camera is varying, i use what ever tires car comes with i don't usually drive too many cars that aren't stock so i run whats on see if i can make it slide but if i do use my drifting cars usually comfort soft just cause i set my trans so low its stupid (450hp chaser set for 230kph) can drift on ch's though too. favorite track i know its kinda noobish but Tsukuba the s-curve 4th gear full throttle steering then to second for left hand hair pin (s-curve and left hairpin in fluid motion) and the final turn is always left rear touching white line 4wheels red hot hardly ever touch e-brake use my gears more than anything. adaptation to change is how i drift disrupt balance how ever possible and correct with style that's the end goal is it not? if it don't look like art then whats the point? could've just drove around corner, EH :P

32 in. Insignia HDTV with HDMI, Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound

I'm stuck using my DS3 until my G25 can be fixed.

I have my music playing in the background all the time, I've got the Gatorade and Jolly Ranchers with me as well, plus my cat lying in my lap (she loves to do that every time I play... Caused a few gunfights in MW3 to be losses.)

What camera view to you use? Hood View, i think its great to see how close your to the car during tandem.
Do you use a wheel? No, have g27 but dont have stand for it yet..
Assists on? All assists off except abs on 1, oh and on my DS3 i turned down sensitivity down a bit to be smoother.
Music? Genre? Chill Dubstep sets the mood
Headphones? Surround Sound? 60' LED Sony HDMI 1080, headphones Beats by Dre

I use the Hood View most of the time, unless Someone ask's me to drift in cockpit view. I use the DS3 Controller with default settings(yes, I use X, O, square, triangle) I drive with ABS 1 sometimes but usually 0 and... hmm.... I use CS tires when I use low-powered cars and... haha... RS on my Mustang SVT :D! However, that car is almost never used.

What best sets the mood for me is the music... I have four speakers on my room that are connected to my stereo system & they're set like a home theater system so I just put some hardcore dubstep, turn it up & go crazy sideways.

I use DS3, no assists, bonnet or chase cam.
My favourite drift car is my trusty Toyota Supra 3.0 '88.

- All assists OFF, except ABS (1). Driving lines is optional for custom tracks.
- Turning Speed 5.
- DS3, but i dont use the analogs for turning. D-Pad oldschool FTW.
- Bonnet camera for tunning, 3rd person (chase) for tandem. I like to have a 360 view of my car.
- I research all kind of good custom tracks, simply because i can´t stand the original tracks anymore. And the group pratices gets more biased when less people knows the track with eyes blinded.
- Favorite car? I don´t have. After almost 2 years, i still looking for it.
- CH tires, this is not an option.

DS3's D-Pad is also pressure sensitive, therefore also analog input. The lighter you press, the less you steer, same with the right hand buttons for acceleration and brake, even e-brake is pressure sensitive. Ever since the PS2!

Do correct me if I am wrong.

I do suck at drifting, not really sure why, perhaps I just didn't get it explained properly.
I use DS3 with sticks but a finger on the circle button, MT, all assists off including driving line.
My favorite car is my '91 Mazda Eunos Roadster, fully tuned and wing on it, it drifts and does donuts on two or three wheels, jumps over berms and even does wheelies and stoppies, but I can't do those on purpose.
My second fave is the Nissan Silvia RM, tuned to about 400HP only, CH tires, and it smokes the entire way around Cape Ring...

I get the Wubs kicking while drifting with these settings.

-DS3 (sadly)
-Full Car view
-Everything Off (Including ABS)
-Turning Settings on 7
-Ride, BMW 135i 07'

Correct, 3 levels of pressure. Same as the righty buttons. Im not sure about the front L-R shoulder buttons. Not that i really try to emulate turning speeds when i drift, but instintively it happens for sure.

It never will looks as good as true racing wheels, but for sure its best than MANY (not all) analog users that i drifted with. Im not trying to start a fight here, im only trying to say that everyone should stick with they feel better, unless this person is trying to re-invent his game (migrating to racing wheels, as exemple).

Yep i give this tip out for people all the time. For example the e-brake set it as the right joystick and you can apply it slowly. When i had drifted on the controller it came in handy

I drift when my son let me...hehehehe
But when i do, i drift like bunta, with a cigar in my mouth and a cold beer to relax and enjoy the ride :)

Cigar heck yeah. I love cigars i actually inhale them (true cigar smoker status hahaha)

I use a 32" LG 1080p TV & an X-RockerII gaming chair for sound, I drift & race on bonnet/hood view, Wheel settings; Steering model Simulation, Power steering OFF & FFB on 10 with my G27 with D.I.Y OMP sticker, front plastic removed & replaced with a steel gauze grill, external fan for cooling & A unique 1 of a kind origami windscreen, custom reverse mounted pedals (with new quick kick clutch), modded gearstick (right hand drive), with custom Ds3 to flight sim stick handbrake. I use stick & Clutch, No assist 0 abs & brake balance at 2-2, I mostly use Comfort hard tyres but do like Comfort meds too. No music while on track. & I have drifted my "Toyota Supra 2.5GT twin turbo R '90" for well over a year now & wouldnt change it for anything as people who drift with me know. see my GTp album "My G27 rig" for pics also my RC clone of my favourite GT5 drift car in my "Random stuff" album.
