I'm pretty sure faster DNS resolution won't solve problems with online gaming.

I think you're right drivatar, dns resolution would take place either entering the lobby or during the sync process. And from there ping speed, packet losses and throughput are the issues. But, it's been a long time since I was involved in the IT field.
