Is it worth buying this game to use on my ps3? no one seems to know if its coming out any time soon for that system so I was thinking about getting the ps2 version. Does anyone know if I would still be able to play online?

Hmm I think it would be worth it if you want to play online. I thought TDU will never come out on the PS3, but instead they are working on TDU 2 for the PS3 but is still a few years away from coming. I'm pretty sure getting online with TDU would be fine on the PS3, I know a lot of people that still play Socom and Toca online on their PS3's.
 
I've heard there is a photomode on the PC version. Won't be getting the PS2 one then.

game is going good so far. got around 8 cars. 2 houses and completed about 13%. i'm saving some money now to buy some nice cars.

Sure didn't, my friend called the store today at lunch and they said it would arrive today and that they are just waiting for the UPS truck to arrive. So I come around after school and it's still not there. This is making me angry......That game was supposed to come out two bloody days ago....It better come out to tomorrow.

The blockbuster I called said they will be receiving 5 copies tomorrow. I'm gonna rent it and if its good then i'll buy it off them...

I just hope they have it. Its gonna be friday already and no game :nervous:

Anyways, how is the AI in this game? Do they follow a set path and don't swerve to avoid you at all? Or are they actually smart and take multiple paths to avoid contact?

I sell pretty much everything I win, so I currently own 4 cars:
Vanquish S (Silver)
Gallardo roadster (Orange)
Zonda C12S Roadster (Maroon)
Mercielago Roadster (Black)

Roadsters are needed in a game like this, but normally I would avoid them. :)

Edit: Speedster, you travel around the island like a headless chook. I've spent the past hour and a half trying to chase you, but I never bumped into you once (Also you changed cars about 3 times :lol:). Maybe we need a meeting point... or just look for me on the map :)

They do try to avoid contact usually, but at times they can be a bit too cautious (for example, sudden firm braking if they tailgate too closely). They're also sometimes lousy at avoiding traffic.
 
Umm usually on from 3:45pm till around 8:00pm and in the morning from around 7:00am till 8:00am. I will keep my eyes out for you mate!

Awesome, just got the game. Hopefully the name I want to use online isn't taken already, but it's very likely. Hope to see you guys online a bit later. So anyone know if the TDU servers are different between Europe and North America?

My name is _THE_STIG_ and I still got a stock mustang with stock 17's but I've been doing races and so far have $300 000 and buying the Koenieggsegg CCR real soon!

My god this game is addicting, I just spent the past hour driving on the highway with 8 other people in supercars racing each other. I had to keep letting off though, my car was just too fast for them!:lol:
My friend and I got this game today and we've been doing races and getting cars. I drove a stock mustang till I had $700 000 and I bought a Saleen S7 Twin Turbo with Stage 2 upgrades. So far I have not encountered anyone on the island faster or as fast as me.....Tomorrow I'll do races and get a stage 3 upgrades for my Saleen S7 TT. My god is it fast.......

Yep, I had to try 6 different times till I got my current name!
 
Put in nearly 32 hours... offline. In some respects I prefer it to the 360 version. The main advantage of the PS2 version is the better draw distance for oncoming traffic (I use the 360 in high def). It certainly makes for safer overtaking.

I currently have 53 cars. I am at Master Level withi nearly 3.8 million Master Points. I have 157 Gold Cups and one Bronze.

Haha, Damnit I need to sell my cars but I can't... I'm nearing 500 000 points and I have no room for another car. Is there a way to sell my cars even if my garage is full?

I'm going to go online right now and probably do a few races so I can get my S7 a lot faster than it is now. So I hope to see ya'll around!
