What's the fastest time you've done on the TGTT??

I've done a 1''21'xxx with a stock LP-560-4 but could do better for sure with another car.

37.959 with the X2010:D
1.06.9 with the TVR Tuscan RM (standing start)

No driving aids, at all

1.08.8 Pagani Zonda R(default set-up), standing start
ABS 1
every other assist OFF

This is very close to reality! Stig did it .3 faster in the episode played last week. Well done to you and to PD for this physics engine and track quality.

1:07.706 rolling with my Audi TT-R DTM touring car on racing soft

i invite you to post some times on my google doc mentioned in the signature. we have been building quite the selection.

Just tried it again with the Zonda R, maximum rear downforce, ABS on 1, everything else off (DS3 controller, if it makes any difference.) I got 1:05 on racing softs once, but I wanted to try it on hards, for fun's sake.
To my surprise I did it in 1:07,355 on racing hards, and 1:03,855 on racing softs :D
Quite a nervous lap though, especially when I got out of the Hammerhead. You have to be really careful with the throttle in this car, the increased downforce doesn't seem to make that much difference.

My quickest lap after the Zonda was in a standard Enzo on racing softs, 1:09,650.

Remember, TGTT doesn't allow slicks (or reduced ride heights) for its lap times.

You want to go up against the Stig, you have to use road tires. I remember they disqualified the FXX time for being on slicks a while back...

And, you have to be able to clear a speed bump. So, what? At least 9" off the ground?

Can't remember exactly, but I think I managed 1.14.something with a standard 430 (or 458, can't remember), on Racing Softs. I'll check tomorrow, then post back. With a standard PS3 controller BTW.

Now that you mention it, the Zonda R wasn't put on the board last week, was it? The cars have to be road legal, right?

I'm not sure what would be the best car in that case, but I'd like to find out :D The Enzo or the Lambo SV? The McLaren MP4 is pretty fast too. Gonna be a challenge driving them on sports hards, heh.

I just ran a 57.193 on my first try in the F2007. Close to the R24's official time which was on the wet.

I can't remember what car has my best time I think 1 of the 2 is the mercedes gull wing at 1:18ish. I only do it as the show 1 clean lap no practice laps. And also using the stock tires which I imagine is comfort for most cars. Have only done times with 6 cars so far.

They do practice on the show.

40.606. X2010
1.01.193 Bugatti Veyron
1.01.604 Mazda Furai
1.02.582 Ford GT '06
1.03.930 Tommy Kaira ZZII

All rolling starts with a DS3. The Veyron was on stock suspension, might have a tinker with it to duck under the 1 minute mark...

I've set in my room a huge paper on the wall written on it POWER LAPS and will run stock supercars around the track similar to those they do on the track by The Stig. In NFS Shift, I've chosen a track (Silverstone Short) and submitted lap times withn different road cars. The rules for my board will be: stock cars = stock tires.
stock suspension, drivetrain, transmission etc..
ex: I will trash my ZR-1 RM around the TGTT but, like the wet, very wet and dry laps in reality, I will write RM on the small piece of paper.

Hope you enjoyed my idea:sly:

In the show they said the Zonda R had slick tires on. They removed it from the board because of the slicks, just as they did with the FXX. Also, because there were no turn signals on it.

I'm assuming racing hards would be the most comparible to test in GT5

They do practice on the show.

I thought they got 5 warm ups and whatever they do on the 6th that is counted as their lap?

I was under the impression the Stig lap was his first lap but I supposed that would be a bit of an effort he'd at least need to do a parade lap to warm the engine up...

1:14xxx Dodge Viper ACR. Sport Soft. Assists off, except for ABS(which this car has in real life), Oil change HP boost, Stage 1 weigh reduction, Sports Catalitic Converter, and the red air filter. Around 650Hp, pretty much stock. DS3 Dual Analogs, Cockpit view, MT.
The only car that was capable of beating my Viper, was the McLaren F1 with the same settings. Wich prooves that the F1 was and it´s still the fastest streat car there is.

A bit off topic I know, but on our living room door there is a paper with power lap times where my friends post their best lap times around the TGTT in a stock Peugeot 207 (SM tires though) until now there are 13 on the list incl 3 girls. The contestants have as much time as they want, which results in some frustrating hours for the less talented :dopey: No one will leave the seat before they beat my wife. Quite fun sitting and coaching actually:tup:

Note: the competition is with running start

Ithnk they do multiple laps and they take the best one. When Jay Kay came and set the record with the Lacetti 1'45"1, I remember Clarkson showed him all his laps time.
