adramireNFS Shift 2 car modeling are sub par and I didn't get any satisfaction from customizing them, there cars here and there that are good but that's it. It is just a little better than all the other NFS titles IMO.
Terronium-12Where did you quote me, other than what I said directly above you? Where?
I want you to re-read the user names and then get back to me...
????? This guy is a troll? Right?
????? This guy is a troll? Right?
I don't know. Why don't you ask him?
I will never complain about what I wish the game had more of tracks, cars etc.
Dear God after renting and playing NFS Shift 2 I take for granted the quality that the GT Series is, nothing out there right now can touch GT5 in graphics, car modeling and physics period.
If you are feeling bored and think GT5 is lacking rent and play any of those other so called "racing sims" and if you know anything about what a real driving simulator is you will run back to GT5, we should all be thankful that we have GT to play.
It just proved what i was thinking that physics is the foundation of a good racing game. The best AI and damage cannot make up for poor physics.
If GT5 can improve AI and damage, then it would be perfect.
I'm trying real hard not to say something that I know would offend you because that would be quite unnecessary in this situation. But you realize Shift 2 was made by SMS, which happen to be a British company, right? And for the record, the Timesavers pack dates back to (as far as I know) Burnout Paradise made by Criterion Games, which coincidentally is also a British developer.
Lol, you would never offend me... LOL
Yeah, made by a British developer published by Electronic Arts, with American fat guys shouting with a very annoying American accent, aimed at the American market mainly.
Yeah, let's see how many copies have sold Shift 2 in the UK and how many in the USA, in relative numbers to GT5.
Go ahead, try hard to offend me in a private message,so you don't get banned, please do so...
BTW, I really like the Met Museum, and NYC in general.
Or, I could watch you continue to hang yourself.
I knew exactly what your point was. I only said that because I knew if I didn't this was going to turn into another "GT5 is the best looking game ever because Premiums are awesome" pile of idiocy. And then it did anyways, to my horror. You then pointed out that standards are as important as premiums which I thought was kinda pointless considering that it had been my point originally.
Except I reject that standard, because in my experience it is inaccurate. 8 FPS dropped is going to be noticed as 8 FPS dropped. It won't be noticed any more or less between a 30 FPS game or a 60 FPS game because the portion dropped from the normal frame rate is bigger. An 8 FPS drop is more noticeable on a game running 30 FPS than it is at 60 FPS. It's a bigger percentage drop and therefore a before and after comparison is much more noticeable.
Not really. You do not know what you are talking about.
None of these "valid reasons" make any difference, even if they actually had meaning. Which they don't.I am giving all valid reasons like resolution, number of cars on track, number of detailed cars.
But it is as noticeable. And I know it is noticeable because I know GT5 does not run at 60FPS. And I could tell this before the detailed technical explanation by Digital Foundry came out, because I could see it with my own eyes. Moreover fps drop for 60-52 for example is not noticeable compared to 30-22fps.
In no way is this an accurate interpretation of how refresh rates work in regards to framerate. In no way.Game at 60 or even 50fps won't make difference but since refresh rate works only like 30hretz and then double so 30,60,120,240 are possible for TV. That is the reason they cannot make the game at 55 or 50fps.
I've seen you misuse terminology, come up with explanations for technical things that are almost comically inaccurate because that is how you think they work, ignore points that were all but stapled to your face, and generally just restate things that are either completely irrelevant to this discussion and/or were never actually accurate in the first place. And you can still say I'm the one who doesn't understand what is going on?You don't understand most things and complexities of it.
I like how this carries the implication that I am wrong because I am an "internet warrior on forums," but you are right because you... aren't one? This game is not made by some internet warrior on forums.
Yes. And in pursuing those magic bullet points, they stumbled hard in areas. And are we suddenly supposed to accept your excus... er, "valid reasons" that GT5 performs the way it does, making it look worse graphically than it has any right to? Because it still does look the way it does, regardless of whatever "valid reasons" you want to throw up to forgive it.It is made by experts and it is not possible to get everything right.
Cool dude, chill out.
I don't know why you took this personal from the beginning, if you were from some poor state, or some southern region, but from NY?
Since you're claiming to be so appalled by my apparent "really bad taste for racing games"...how about from now on you purchase my games for me? Sound like a plan, champ? If not then shut up.I'm shocked both to these attitudes and to your really bad taste for racing games.
Attempted wit? But, the world is vast and varied, enjoy Shift 2, I'll enjoy GT5.
I'll assume this is an attempt to move on to neutral ground? Lulz.BTW, your avatar is intriguing, is there some kind of psychological symbology to it?
P.S. I love how Americans like you always recur to the "money" argument. Yeah, I can buy you any game anytime, I'm not a cheap starving champ like you probably are, so let me send you the games, and when you get them to your door via Amazon.com then you shut up after telling me "thank you", and making a thread here about it. I love it when an irrelevant mediocre American like you probably are thinks that ALL Mexicans are poor, or uneducated. Funny![]()
Bit of advice for you, and consider this for the next time you want to fling nonsensical tirades toward people - make sure you always use proper sentence structure, grammar, and turn of phrases. Especially when you put words in other people's mouths; that last bit about being uneducated...I don't recall ever having said, hinted toward, or even jested such a conclusion, but that catastrophe of a sentence really doesn't help your case.
Terronium-12I don't know. Why don't you ask him?
EDIT: Oh, by the way, epic triple post. How about you stop worrying about me and look toward that glorious e-invention called the "Edit" button...
