So I switched to my main account to start the Seasonals tonight, and guess what...

I now have to wait 1+ hour for the freaking PS3 patch to download...WHY ART THOU SO COLD HEARTED? lol

I think its really stupid that they force us to download software updates just so we can access our PSN accounts or the Playstation Store. I do not get why they would do that. And the person who thought up that idea is an idiot.

Security reasons and so that you have all up-to-date features.

I could really go for a game of "shoot the patch deployer", honestly. I can't believe they released the patch at the same time as the Seasonal update. lol

Its very clever of sony actually because you have millions of people updating just for gt5 seasonals alone, this helps sony feel "more secure" as they force their firmware on us. It would seem the online aspect of the game is very strategic. Perhaps if there was too many offline events the majority of gt5 players wouldn't bother updating. Then again it could all be a coincedence lol

Yep I was lucky. I started downloading the update half an hour before the new seasonals dropped.

It took most of you longer to download the patch than it did for the hackers to crack it lol. Nice job Sony, x hours of security coding undone by a guy on a bus with a laptop within hours.

You can thanks the guys who keep hacking all the gaming machines out there. Every time someone says they've hacked something, we're forced to sit through another security patch.

oddly, since I was already playing before the patch and the update became available, it just let me into the seasonal races after I had finished the 4 hour race that I was doing.

I guess I have to look forward to this patch when I get home.
