Professional series, level 14,, World Championship, 2nd race in, nurburgring. No matter what car I try I cant get higher than 5th. Tried the mercedes clk gtr, too much power, ends up as a lawnmower. Tried the Toms supra, no good. If i try a lesser powered car I just get left behind.
Its annoying as im on level 26 but I cant do these mad fast races, just lose control. And everything past where Im at involves mad powerful cars!
Just waiting for seasonal 8 now...
 
Cheers guys. I just get frustrated because I only have a few hours for driving and gt5 takes time! Not quite sure how to post my car list other than writing each one down! (Should be a facility in the game for doing that)
Anyone want to add me to race with- just get a bit bored at times!
 
agggh kids.... getting inbetween you and gt5 ?

let me be the first to say 'prioritys' and 'adjust' humans can go weeks without eating, this should allow some more playing time

Where are you? When do you get the chance to play?
 
In Australia. I have 3 yo. I get 1-2 hours at about 6 am your time.

But give it a good go. You'll work out what works for you.

When I get home from work ill check out the race your stuck on and buy, tune and set up something to try help you out.

I hit the same speed bump mate.
Can't remember for sure, but I think it was either the Evo IX or the Corvette ZR1 that I used to win this race...RACE MODDED each of them about the same time, cant for the life of me recall which one I used though...ZR1 is a better car though, so go for that first.
 
Try a little bit of TCS. With a controller it's very hard to replicate the super smooth driving style needed with the LMP cars. Slow down a little, don't push too hard.
 
I remember beating this race in my Spoon Civic as I was trying it out.

If you get a light and good handling car then this race should be easy.

How about the Lancia Delta HF Integrale 91? Thats light and precise. But will tge AI cars change to match it?

If you fully tune it up then it'll probably do it. Just don't crash and you'll be fine.

What's your best car right now?
 
Suprised by this to be honest. This race bucks the trend a little bit because you can win this race on the first corner. The AI is very relucant to overtake you once you're in the lead and you just have to concentrate on not spinning out and having to find those opportunities to overtake.

This race is not about speed but about consistency and easily winnable in a much lower powered car.
 
Give a try with the Elise 111 RM'ed. It's cheap, smooth and insanely fast in the corners. You'll leave your opponents in the dust :D
 
Are you using a controller ? I found this series hard with the controller (plus I was new to sim racing games then) but once I switched to DFGT this series was a cake. I think I used a McLaren MP4-12C.
 
I had a similar problem on this. All I did was get a decent car, not too fast. Don't remember which one exactly, put on the best tires (Racing, soft) and I was able to get a whole lot more grip so I was able to stay on track. That did it.

I suggest trying a Mazda Furai, if you don't have one i can gift a fully tuned one to you. You can also try to turn ASM and Skid recovery force.

It's the car i used for almost all races in the game.

I originally did that race ages ago, so can't remember what car I used. I probably used the Tommykaira ZZII which can be tuned uo to 745 HP if necessary. It has adjustable aerodynamics and 4WD so should be a fairly easy win.

I did it on another account the other day and used the Chrome Line Jaguar XJ13 with Racing Softs. That is the car from that Facebook thing.

What type of tyres were you using? I would most likely have been on Racing Softs when I first ran it, as well.
