Come back when the clock gets to 2 hours, and the Griffith 500 will be half-way through his 73rd lap, and you just have to cross the finish line to win.

So it really doesn't have to be a 2-hour race. More like 80 min.

sweet, tips like that are very much appreciated.

shame gt3 stops giving you split times for other players once u lap them. if im not mistaken the previous gt's said like +5 laps etc

yep it did
but the one im working on now is the mazda miata endro track there really is no easy way to beat that they are with you the whole way

anybody know a easy way

That race is easy. Just use a Miata RS and drive. If you're a good driver it's no problem, even with normal tires.

"As I tell the children at the library I volunteer at, "look it up yourself", "no you can't go to the bathroom" and "stop crying"."

Got to love Michelle Montanius.

Anyway, easy way to do the Roadster Enduro - as I always say - is get the 1998 model MX-5 1.8RS and slap on T3 (Slick/Hard) tyres on the front, T5 (Medium) tyres on the back and pit every 8 laps. 1hr 8 minutes, roughly.

i havent really raced it yet i got the car i think it was the mazda miata Ls or something like that ( im not good with that roadster for some reason) set up the tires and stuff and raced about 10 laps just to see how i would do ( and set my marks) i did alright but i wasent laping anybody. i hate that you cant upgrade that car because it sucks ( pushes like a dumptruck ) but anyway after I finish that race and the cot'e azure endurance i will be at 100%

but someone was telling me you cant get 100% w/ the american ver is that true

i really dont want the game to end :(

It's only true if you're too stupid to realise that you have to do the WHOLE game - including posting the best time in all of the Arcade Time Trials (also known as "Time Attacks"). The game also sticks at 99.0% until the last race is done.

Are you not happy with a race unless you're lapping people? I find close racing - and this race in particular - to be the best part of the game. Wazzing off to infinity in an F1 car when your opponents are Minis is just plain dumb.

ok i dident even think about the time trials in arcade:O

its not that i like to lap people every time i race its just on an endurance race after about 30 laps or so i start to think about other suff (not race related, sometimes i fall asleep) and then i run off the road or make some knda screw up. i like to have some laps on them so i can take it easy for awhile you know

white knukle racing is fun, but not for 2 hours

dont get me wrong i like to run neck and neck w/ a human driver but ther is just something about those ai cars that make me want to get as far ahead of them as i can.

Now THAT I can relate to :D Nicely put - I'd put that in your signature :D

very well made point, i totally agree.

as for your point famine, i think not... the ai is so poor i don't even consider them in a race, when they get near me or i get near them i just get annoyed. i race for personal bests and to compete with other people online. so whether the opponents are in minis or S-class cars, as long as they don't bother me i'm happy :P hence an F1 car usually takes care of matters nicely

well last night i did half the time trials in arcade and also the mazda miata endro race
it wasent as bad as i thought it would be i just used the hardest tires and out ran them on pits

right before that i watched ryan newman on speed vision talking about fuel consevation and tire wear in stock cars he said that he trys to stay outa the brakes wenever posable and mantain exit speed so insted of jumping on brakes let of the gas early

i tryed that and got about 14 laps on tires sometimes 16
well needless to say the ai cars were not geting anything close to that

so all i have left tonight is the cot'e azure endro that is a piece of cake its just long ( duh endro ) but i finish that and the last cople of time trials ill be 100% by monday :D

then i can work on other things like famine's top speed trick

just improving my skills for gt4 so when i race other human racers
i wont get left behind

i also found not smashing the accelerator as soon as possible but pressing it gently (to stop minor wheelspin of the rear tyres) increased tyre survival by up to 2 laps.

so just be gentle with the car, but still fast, and u'll be laughing :P

more sound advice from d-lux heh

well are you 100% with all gold on all liscences if you do then you can talk

I'll bring it.

Do it multiple times.
Do it with a 100% win ratio.
Get 100% by day 229.
Do it without buying more than 2 cars.
Do it spending only 225,000cr on upgrades the entire game.
Do it only using 17 cars.

What, is it time to start up "The Multiple 100% Club Thread" to sort out the riff-raff?

don't be so hard on yourself, i wouldn't call people who have done it multiple times riff raff.... just a little crazy!
bwahahahahahhaa
j/k

At last, Touring Mars becomes 100%!

2 days ago, I completed 'Complex String' Time Trail and Tahiti Maze within 60 minutes of each other. My previous best times had been 4:57.500 and 2:01:500 respectively, but by using the ghosts and memorizing the split times of the demos, I had them sussed in no time!

Last night, only had the Formula GT enduro at Monte Carlo to do. Was really struggling until I figured out to go manual. Best lap time was 1:16.768 and I won by 1 lap and 23 seconds!

Woo hoo!... although like after 'Return Of The King' finished, I feel like there is a void in my life now! Oh well, just have to wait for GT4!

Good stuff.

I had laid the game to rest for one and a half years at 96% and finally decided to finish it.

All I had to do was the Roadster/Miata Enduro, JGTC Championship/GT World Championship Professional League - Can't remember what one but there was GJTC cars and finally the Yaris/Vitz Championship.

I breezed through all the races with ease, the only challenge was the Miata Enduro until I realised the fastest car/Miata 1.6 RS thing that I dualed with, pitted very often. From then on my winning margin grew dramatically.

I had already completed all the Time Trials and to my delight especially TT10 at Complex String.

Anyway after not playing on the Playstation for a 1 & 1/2 years and suddenly finishing the game off I began to suffer from RSI, Repeditive Stree Syndrome, in other words my thumb joint hurts from braking and accelerating and my fingers click uncontrollably. They ache and it is rather uncomfortable. Now I know why they write in the front mannuals to play 15 minutes at a time.

Oh well you win some and you loose some. I also got GT Concept and completed that in a breeze shortly after Christmas and went on a spending spree with the 10,000,000 credits you earn after finishing the game - :D

SO close...

this game was lying around for almost 2 years at 73% until I picked it up again a few weeks ago. I did all of the enduro's in about a week, and finished most of the races in Pro mode. I'm at 96.3% now, All I gotta do is a vits race, 3 of the pd races, and 4 of the f1 races (glad there was no f094/s, otherwise my f686 would have lost miserably)and the TT. This is gonna be hard....

Do I have the will?

You've come this far... stopping now would be like Frodo and Sam standing at the bottom of Mount Doom and saying, "Nah, let's go for a pint instead!" :-)

Anyway, you might find the same as me, that atleast two of the Formula GT races, namely Monte Carlo and Apricot Hill, should be done in manual (if you don't already use manual)... especially at Monte Carlo, the F1's hate being in first gear, and will constantly spin in the tight, slow corners, and the best way to avoid dropping into 1st all the time is to go manual and keep it in 2nd...

Happy racing, don't give up now! :-)

Finished a couple of month ago. What a heavenly joy to finally beat the last TT on complex. My wife got rather fed up with me, when I late night insisted to give her a detailed description of this stunning accomplishment.

Finished around late-November. I guess this thread's more "official" than the first one I posted this info in. Yay for me and my 160 or so cars (and a few duplicates).

I feel rather bored of GT3 lately, I've been playing Autoi Modellista for the past 2 weeks, and although it's no substitute, it's something to mess with until GT4 is out.

Complete: 100% :)

Prize Total: 12,566,800

Wins: 384 / Races: 528 = Win Ratio: 72%

Cars Owned: 88

Total Mileage: 15495.3 miles

Total Car Value: 53,095,650

Bonus Cars Acquired: 96

Trophies Acquired: 559

Of the F1 cars, i only don't have the F687/S. :banghead: I still have to fight to get it
It pisses me off, because it's the one i wanted on first place :irked:

The F686/M for example i have 4. The F090/S, F094/H , F094/S and the F688/S, i have one of each.

Anyway, i'm on Day 422 in the game, with 6,840,332 in my pocket and actually racing with the NISMO 400 R and the Altezza LM Race Car

About duplicates, i have 3 Zonda's Race Car, plus 2 other duplicated that i can't remember right now

It sounds like you dont know the R2/L2 button trick or what some people call "tiptronic mode". Hold either the R2 or L2 button and the car won't upshift or downshift, this onyl works when your driving automatic though.

Indeed I hadn't heard of that trick, could be very handy... although, I was much quicker in manual than in automatic generally, to the tune of 4-5 seconds a lap infact! Now that I've completed the game almost entirely in automatic, I fully intend on starting again, but only using manual!.. :D

Finally, ive also got 100%, completed th tt10 about a month ago to finish GT3 after nearly 3 years! I stood on 99% for nearly a year and a half. After lending the game to a freind for 6-7 months i thought why not try it and guess what, i beat it.
Heres my stats, nothing special to look at, i really lost my touch in GT3, i was so good at GT2 and never really got used to the "slow" steering in GT3. Now on to the licence golds.
