Well guys, I'm home in STL now. It was a nice vacation but I'm glad to be home.
Here's 4 pics from the way home. I don't have the time or connection to upload all 145 pics. I should in the future though.
First one. My fave pic from the trip.
A picture is worth 100mph. Taken in our MPV as we were being tailed on I-10 in Louisianna. We went about 105 that time but I couldn't take another pic fast enough. The top speed for the trip was a blazing 112 or so MPH because this nut in a Gran Prix cut us off. Also we did about 108 when this old bat in a Town and Country tailgated my dad as we were doing about 90mph. So my dad floored it for a bit but there was traffic.
BTW, 85mph=3,000RPM in 4th(it's a 4 speed auto ofcourse...5 speed V6s were only in Canada). about 100mph is 4K RPM. By theory it should be able to do about 125mph. We've gone 120 in it before.
The pic:
Then here are 3 pics of some fellow Mazda owners. It's a early '90s Miata 1.6L, painted to look like Jeff Gordon's Dupont NASCAR stuff. I'm a fan of hating NASCAR, but these people were cool.
We were on I-55 north through Mississippi and they came flying up next to us. My dad floored it and we caught up with them(we went about 102 to do so, they were going pretty fast). We passed them on the left, then got infront of them. They passed us on the left and we both did about 95MPH for about a mile before she waved and smiled at us then sped off. It was great.
That's all for now. There will be more later.
