Must say I´m disapointed in the TV-coverage here in Sweden. Last year, Eurosport 1 and 2 took care of almost the entire race, but this year, nothing! :grumpy: Canal+ and Motors TV seems to be the only choices, and I don´t think I can get them in time  Does anyone know anything more about this?

Can´t you watch danish television in Sweden?
Tv2 Denmark is the only tv station in the world that will show all 24 hours of the race.

(Go! Tom Kristensen, Jan Magnussen, Nicolas Kieas, Casper Elgaard, John Nielsen, Phillip Andersen, Jens Møller, Lars Nielsen and Thorkild Thyrring in this years Le Mans)

Lap 4 - we've lost an Aston into the wall in the Porsche Curves... :(

Watching it now and I love seeing the Pugeot with the GT decals on it. Also, when did Audi decide to race deisel engines? I hope that nothing major happens while I'm at work... If something major happens, I'll be upset.:scared: :ouch:

thats the Pescarolo which is actually a team owned by a past racer and his cars are based off of another builder, Courage i Believe, and Audi decided to race diesels this year so everyone is waiting to see how they do, as this is only thier second race with the car, Now Peugeot is talking about racing a diesel in LM

Ive been watching it on the Speed Channel in the US but of course at 3pm they switch over to the horrid TRASHCAR racing as i call it, but it looks like i get it again from 8pm all the way into tomorrow

Yeah, because they really need to try to squeeze in all of the remarkably different, interesting, and exciting NASCAR races. Heaven forbid that a day passes without one NASCAR event. </sarcasm>

I'm so sick of Speed Channel. Unfortunately, that's all we have. :grumpy:

Radio Le Mans and live timing, it's almost as good... At least you don't have to listen to the useless Speed commentators.

Why aren't cars allowed to spin the tires when they leave the pit lane?
It's a safety issue, but a really stupid rule. When cars used to come out of the pits, tires blazing, they would often get very, very sideways, which might clip an airgun or crew member. They then implemented a rule about getting too sideways, but that was a very subjective judgement as to who was "safely" sideways, and who was not. So I guess they just decided to do away with any wheelspin, as that basically guarantees that nobody will get sideways leaving the pits. Stupid rule. Many of those cars are almost impossible to launch without wheelspin or stalling. A few people have already stalled leaving the pits today. Sometimes the ACO gets a little out of hand.

how bout them Spykers? the 86 car is in the top three (second I believe).nice performance.

Motors TV here in the UK seem to be doing the same.

My parents have stole the TV :ouch:
I really wish we could get Motors TV. They've certainly impressed me with their coverage of the SuperGT and FIA GT.:indiff:

Yea well it should be called nascar channel, they show at least 6 nascar shows a day on there i didnt realize there was so much to say about going in circles

And thats another thing, i love how these guys are called professionals yet they manage to crash to most in any form of racing yet they have the easiest tracks, floor it, hit brakes, turn left, really hard.

It's one thing to call it boring, it's another thing to call them skill-less.

This conversation doesn't belong here but I will say this:
To me, NASCAR is like golf. It takes a lot of skill but it's damn boring to watch.

Anyway, could anyone please summarise what's happening over in France at the moment? I haven't been able to watch the race for a good few hours now. :(

Where is the skill in oval racing, i believe its a joke compared to road course racing

I don't see how it takes any less skill than road racing. You still have to turn the car. It doesn't matter if it's a left or a right turn, or even if there are only two(or four as they say in NASCAR).

They're still accelerating, braking, and turning a car. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't all of those things take skill?

Argue about NASCAR somewhere else. Don't destroy this thread. The entire rest of the race will be on SPEED in an hour and a half, so quit complaining about a piddly little truck race that you don't like.

On the Flying Lizard radio, one of the drivers was asking if Lime Rock was a Friday-Saturday event.

Speed channel seems to be having problems showing the race.

Gah whats going on with Speed Channel!?!?!? I'm dying to see whats happening! I went to the link toler, but it doesn't seem to want to stream for me and I'm dying to watch this race!
