Hey everyone! I have just completed the 24 Hours of Le Mans in A-Spec mode, which was a magnificent endurance with the time and weather effects! The best part was it kept my 200% bonus so I got great rewards from it! Good job PD for having this endurance in the game! 👍

Now here is my question: How many other people have completed both the A-Spec and B-Spec Le Mans races? If you have then post a reply saying you have so I can add it to the list.

Also tell me about your experience with this endurance in A-Spec. I'm curious to see your anecdotes regarding this race!

I've done the 48 hours...A-Spec.
The Bentley the first time...(great, great car...great race).
The X2010 the second.

My BOB has done it at least 3 times in the X2010, that I can remember. I set up the races before I went out of town back in February-March.

All of this before all of the bonuses, so I had to grind to get to the next levels.

LeMans is a great track and with the time changes, it is actually a pretty good race.
However, with the X2010, I did resort to pit blocking which allowed me to be away from the game for a total of about 6 hours while the clock was ticking.

Okay so you did it pretty much so I'll add you!

Bob has done it twice for me, I've done the a-spec with two friends over the actual 24 hours earlier this year....no pauses whatsoever. 3 hour shifts. There should be a trophy for that. 24hrs in 24hrs

did it the first time with the 905 now doing in in the mazda 787b hopefully i hit level 40 so i can do the 24hr nurb. Bob has done it in bspec as well.

What car and assists did you use?
With the Bentley I fluctuated the TCS between 4 and 5. I could get to 8 laps between pitting with the higher TCS. Ran a little faster laps with it at 4 though.
I ended up winning by 5 laps.

I've run them both (b-spec a long time ago, a-spec finished about a week ago).
I ran the 787B in a-spec. It rained ALL NIGHT long. :) The Audi was the car to beat in my 24 hr race.

I'm trying to finish it with an R10 with no assists, and its bloody hard, especially when the tyres are worn out.

It didn't rain for me the whole time!

So if you continue an endurance race but do not return to the home menu, does it preserve your ongoing log-in bonus? I know it's been asked before, but I thought I'd get it cleared up once and for all.

24hrs Lemans.
A-Spec.
I finished it once in 24 hours strait thru no break at all.
And 3 times within 35 hours using pause mode.

B-spec.
Bob did it once strait thru.

24hrs Nurburgring.
A-Spec Twice within 35 hours.

B-Spec.

Completed A and B-Spec.
A-Spec - Bentley Speed 8
B-Spec - numerous times to grind to L40 mostly over night with the Vettel X2010:yuck:

I took a week to complete it and when I finished the race I received my 200% prize money and xp. However, when I logged on the next day my login bonus was down to 130% which cheesed me off as I had logged in every day - I did a stint 3-4 hrs a day for 7 days. So, from my experience, you could assume that if you start the race on 200% bonus then your prize money will be 200%, but after logging off after that race it will revert to what ever bonus% it would be if you hadn't logged on. A bit lame, but hey, the experience of the race in the Bentley (only abs 1, RH tires) was sublime. Won by 8 laps I think. Now thinking of the Nurb 24hr in the purple Jag:drool:

You may well have thought you had logged in, But during gamesave when reloading you do not reach the point where you login to PD servers [not PSN servers] you went directly to the game hence you lost your bonus afterwards. Not good though as you think your logged in but not, and yet your on every day. Im sure PD will correct it in time.

I've done A-Spec and B-Spec but it was that long ago now I can't even remember which car I used for it. My B-Spec Bob is doing the The 24hrs round The Ring now and has just under 1 hour left. He's doing it in the X2010, I did it in the GT-R Touring Car from the DLC

It did for me 👍 1.5 million credits and like 10 million xp almost brought me from level 37 to 40!!

I've done both.

For the A-Spec I had friends come by and we drove it straight.
It started dry but rained all night. When the sun came up the rain stopped.
We drove the 908, custom setup, TC on 2 for the rain.

We kept the driving line on, as a sanity check for the night.

Awesome story of how you did it. If only all my other friends in real life were interested in Racing games instead of Call of Duty, Madden, and Skyrim :yuck:.

I drove the A-spec 24 over the course of 3 weeks, completing between 1 and 3 hours per race session. Whenever my friends mentioned whatever magnificent find they found in the ucd that day, I was all... "Hey when im done, i'll check the ucd too!" *glances at total time clock* (5:26:54.237) "WHY DID I START THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Well, it was all worth it, as I achieved A-spec level 40 at races end!

Did you also do B Spec?

A-Spec once - Mazda Furai, 22 hours of rain, 2 hours dry. Won easily including 80 minutes of parking. Post Spec II, utilising the suspend race option.

B-Spec too many times, on more than one user. Used 908, X1, Mazda Furai, Toyota Minolta, all more than once.
Best B-Spec win - Mazda Furai. This car is much slower than the AI when driven by Bob, but won by a couple of laps at the finish. None of my B-Spec wins were with any coaching, all before Spec II, most before March 2011.

I can't be bothered to do the A-Spec race. I'm too lazy for that. Perhaps I'll complete it in the future.

I have done B-Spec once, though, using the FGT.

I did both A and B spec, did it twice on A Spec, once with the 787B, and the second with the Audi R10. B-spec runs were done in an Audi R8, Sauber C9, Bentley Speed 8, and one in the X2010.

I did both of my A spec Le Mans way back before the endurance save.

The 787 at night was an epic run. It started to rain hard during the night and I almost pitched it into Indianapolis because I couldn't see how wet it was until I was already into the corner. Quite a moment.

With that said, I think watching the light slowly creep in while piloting the open cockpit R10 was the best GT 5 moment I had. At first you think you are seeing things, then you are convinced the light is coming in, then you are waiting for the sun to pop up, then you finally see it, get all happy, and then you realize you still have 10 hours to go till the end of the race. Epic.

Awesome job with the R10! I also loved this endurance. It shows the true capabilities of the PS3 and proves that GT is better than Forza. What was your fastest lap?
