Man, it would be awesome if we could get started right at 8. I've got to go to a movie at 9:30. Help...

Definitely ready for Laguna. Had a good test session last night and looking forward to competing with the rest of you. I plan on being in by 8:20 or 8:30 edt, so I should be okay to start a little early (or at least start qualifying on the hour).

IIIIIII'MMMM BBBAAAAAACCCKKK!!!

Was good to race with the old gang again, made a couple new friends to boot. **** are they fast...

Got some catchin' up to do to, seems the game has changed a tad...

Anyhoo, had fun and am looking forward to racing with y'all again.

Same here glad to have Greest back. Good race guys sorry to everyone that I screwed up on lap 1 in the corkscrew you know hoo you are. Ponits posted soon.

Welcome back Old Man. Last nights race was ok for me, but was not great the drivers messed up to much to deserve a 3rd place finish, even though the setup was pretty dang quick.

Definitely nice to see the old man come back around...you have been missed Greest. Glad to see the turn out that we had last night. Be really nice if IP made it last night and the other 2 guys could make the ovals. At least on the ovals the draft should reduce some of the enormous gap AJ was able to put on the field when turning left and right.

I did make it to the movie. Wreck It Ralph. If you've ever played video games in an arcade I would go see it. Or if you like games period. Very fun and funny.

I really thought this race was going to come down to Ace and Track. I didn't realize strangers were coming to make things difficult :). The more the merrier but we should come up with some rules for the championship regarding new drivers for future events. Something along the lines of, their points should go to the next closest championship contender. People can come run in our races but we cant award them points for one appearance. Obviously they can have the points if they plan on racing with us. But if they don't plan on that and say something happens during the race between one of them and one of us, things could get weird. I mean those guys were fast. So my dream of a podium finish went out the window. Could have been worse I guess. They could have not known what they were doing at all.

I apologize for the caution confusion. My mic was muted and so was Bowtie's. I was like "caution, caution" and I'm looking at the map and no one is slowing down. My bad. I saw 3 cars including me wrecking at the same time. Not sure what happened with Greest but he was turned around and the 20 car was right behind him. Not sure if there was contact there. I feel like the cautions are there so we can race hard and if someone slips up we can reset the field. I know it sucks for the leaders if it happens in the back of the pack but this keeps the realism intact.

Ever seen Stripes ?

I caused the melee in the corkscrew. Don't recall who it was, but I gave up my line because he slowed way quicker than I was. I went wide, and ate sand. At the bottom of said corkscrew, I spun. My bad. I was the one that said keep going, because I caused it, and didn't have any damage. My bad, sorry.

Lighten up Francis

;)

@Sass, I had a lot of the same thoughts about points going to one race wonders, especially since I would have had the poll and the race win if not for AJ. Had all else remained the same, that would have been an additional 4 points over Bowtie. I had my moments with some private PSN messaging to Ace prior the race of being a real baby about the whole thing. I settled down after venting and moved on with the race. It is quite realistic, especially with NASCAR if you think about it. There are plenty of road course ringers that come in for 1 or 2 events out of 36 and are awarded the points for the day.

If we were to consider any points adjustments in the future for similar situations, I would say the one time driver is not considered as a position. For example, if the one time driver finished 3rd, everyone behind him in the series would move up to the next position in regards to points awarded. So 4th place series driver, would actually get 3rd place points, 5th place, get 4th place points, and so on.

I don't think point adjustments are necessary, I like to see a shake up in the finishing order, and like track mentioned in the first paragraph it does make a difference in real world racing. I would personally be against point adjustments, because you are basically penalizing someone for running one race, I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but I don't see this as a big issue. That is my viewpoint on this issue, take it or leave it. :)👍

I am good with no point adjustments, for the reasons stated above. Hopefully we don't have any more alien like drivers like AJ that is a full second faster than 2nd place ;). I had some help setting the car up from a friend who is often considered an alien driver, and his lap time was still a half second off AJs...that guy can driver, that is for sure!

I'm just talking about in the future. I don't wanna change these results. In the the future give them the trophy but not the points. Or don't let one timers race. We cant let people come in and alter the results for the rest of us clawing for championship points. What if one of the new drivers wrecked the championship leader? It just doesn't seem fair since they shouldn't be there in the the first place.

Hey when is good for everyone to test at Indy this week?
Tuesday 9pm CST
Wednesday 9pm CST
Thursday 9pm CST
Friday 8pm CST

I can try for Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday.

Ive ran a little on them last night. The normal setting is this the tire where we've had for a few races as much as i can tell. But the longest run I had last night was 9 laps.

Hey Greest and ipfreely, Do you 2 know eachother?
