Yea the race starts at 8pm cst, but he asked what time the lounge opened.

Lounge opens within an hour before the race, thats at least what i noticed. Be ready to be beat by a 14 year old kid! :sly:

Careful with the boastfulness. All talking will do is make noise. Let the performance on the track speak for itself. Just a word of wisdom from someone twice (plus) your age.

Hey guys I'm trying to race home to make it to race with you I might miss qualify but I'm trying

Well, i would say everyone from 3rd and behind got beat by a 14 year old but i didn't want to get 3rd that way. See you all next season

Also, I did not at all mean to sound cocky at all trough the season. Just was joking and guess it came out really wrong. I do not at all think im a better driver then anyone else in this series. Knowing you guys have been racing together for several years and im the newbie I was just so happy I made the podium, which hopefully you can understand. Basically if It sounded like im cocky its not what I intended at all. So, I hope every single one of you forgive me for sounding like a total ass and im sincerely sorry for it. Thank you all for reading... Until we meet again- rap129

Rap, you're okay. You ran well in your first season and deserved the 3rd place in points. Just remember you are running with a group of drivers who are mostly in their 30's and then some (Greest ;) ). The group is certainly up for joking and ball busting, and lots of laughs. A good life lesson tip is to be yourself, but realize the company you are in. I can still be myself regardless of who I am with, but will let different sides out if I am at work compared to being with my family or friends. Honestly from the beginning of the season, and especially Motegi 1, I would have never guessed your age based on your decision making and smoothness on the track. Let your performance speak for itself.

On a note about the racing, great season by all. I truly enjoyed this season for numerous reasons. I really liked the format change from the past couple of seasons, mainly the qualifying adjustment and the implementation of cautions. I think the last update had really helped the racing as well (damaged most other racing, but the cars on the ovals really seem to feel more realistic with the change). For me personally, being able to commit to the series and not be distracted with other racing series like in the previous 2 seasons, added to the enjoyment. A big thank you to Bow for putting this playground together for us, and to all of the competitors for the spirited and respected racing on the track, and the numerous laughs and commentary in the pits. I look forward to defending the title next season, with much doubt that the competition will let me get away with the success of this season.

Thanks Track... And just watched a replay of the last 2 laps... Probably one of the craziest finished I have ever seen. From turn 3 to the finish line on the last lap was just crazy. My main reason of watching it again was to make sure I didn't pass Bowtie below the yellow line, if I would have had all 4 wheels even slightly below the line i would have wanted to be deducted points. Honestly would feel terrible getting 2nd that way.. Greest I still have no idea how you held onto that car.

Yeah I checked the replay for myself too. A little patience on my end could have resulted in a much better finish. Coming to the white flag, 2nd and 3rd got into each other, putting me in second. I should have waiting to try and get around rockstar until the back stretch. I must have thought I had enough of a run to pass him on the outside going into 1. Unfortunately the rest of the pack was there and got to my inside. A couple small door rubs as cars passed me on the inside sent me to the wall...just enough to scrub my speed down to a point I couldn't recover from. Seeing how it finished, I should have just stayed on Rockstar's bumper and hoped for the 2nd position...a 1-2 Ford finish would have been great. I think even without Rockstar's win, Ford would have won the factory championship with my 6th place finish, but it sure does look good that a Ford finished either 1st or 2nd all season. Nice job Rockstar.

Yeah I was not sure if I should have waited and try to drive up through or try to stay out front but be a sitting duck. After seeing Ace's bad luck I waited. I think I might have tapped you a little Track but just enough to push you into the wall. Like I said in an earlier post if I would have went below the line id insist Bowtie would deduct points. I was close but barley kept the left sides outside the line. Hopefully next season will be just as fun and that JGR engines don't have so many problems. Thank you all for the good racing, good times, and letting me race with you guys. Its really an honor to feel like you guys want me to race here and it means alot. Thanks again Ace for letting me borrow you 2010 car and use it as a "special paint scheme" Track congratulations on your championship, and dominating the season. Killer, thanks so much for woking with me at the season opener at Daytona and good luck in your real life racing career. Greest, good job on fooling us and it took me until the last race of the season to figure out you were ip  and you are by far one of the funniest people i have met on PSN. Sass, nice meeting you and hopefully you can come to more races next season. Rockstar, congratulations on your crazy win last night and im excited to see you in the championship battle next year. Ajay, amazing domination Laguna Seca. NASCAR maniac, i look foreword to racing with you next season also. And, Bowtie.. You have put together an amazing series, thank you so much for letting me race for a championship. I will do everything I possibly can to be at every race next season. Sorry again if I sounded like a jerk I did not at all mean it. Thanks you everyone again for this amazing opportunity to race with some of the best NASCAR drivers on GT5. I will end this long post by saying a quote from a very wise man.. "Uhhohh, my PP just went up.... And im not talking about my car!"
See you all at the track,

Great work on the awards Bow. The only thing you forgot was most wins...but I won't push ;). Thanks again!

Just remember you are running with a group of drivers who are mostly in their 30's...
Excluding me too.

I owe Rap an apology.

Sorry little buddy, I was completely out of line last night. Take it or leave it.

Had to work tonight, had a little bit of time at the end to do some figuring. Turns out that I can earn an extra 48 grand by working instead of goofing around with you clowns.

Look for me arounds midnight my time, but the weekend racing is pretty much done until after work.

Is what it is gang.

Looking forward to next season for sure. Spent half of my day at work thinking about some ideas. The first is a possible change in teams. Had some offers from the 48, 20, and old 83 team. Considering my options ;).

Had some thoughts on schedule too. I know Bow was talking about 8 races, with 1 being the non-point all star event. Wanted to propose a slight different idea for conversation purposes. The main reason I would like to propose this is I think 8 weeks can be tough for guys to commit to. What about the following:
1. Daytona 50
2. Motegi dual 50s (either each race is worth normal points, or we cut the points in half so the night is worth the same, qualify once, reverse grid for race 2).
3. Indy 40
4. Road Course (something like a GrandValley)
5. All Star race at Indy (similar format to the original, 3 races of some sort, but with a point system to determine an overall winner).
6. Motegi 75
7. Daytona 75

I think Daytona should be first and last. First because of the 500, and last because it is probably the most dramatic racing we have. Still a fan of Indy as the location for the all star even because it is more of a drivers track than Indy, but the draft helps equalize more than at Motegi.

Still am a proponent of changing qualifying on pole to 1 point, and adding a 1 point for leading a chosen lap (probably half way point).

Would like to have a conversation about letting 1 time drivers hopping in. I liked the argument that it should be okay because there are those in the 1:1 racing that do it. At the same time I think it would be more beneficial to the group to prohibit one time drivers. The first is the impact it can have on the championship. The second, and I think the most important is the possibility of taking a win or solid finish away from a committed driver. If you take a look at this past season, there were 2 group winners and 2 non-group winners (thankfully, rockstar was a two time racer). Bottom line, this is not real world racing. We are not pro's. Some guys put a lot of time and practice into these races and to have a possible win taken away by a random driver is pretty crumby for someone who is looking to have what may be their only win. Daytona for example could have ended up with a first time winner (from the group). This would certainly be a little tricky of a policy to set up and enforce. It was great having Ganon drive Daytona with us as a warm-up for next season. Still something I would like to feel out in the group and something for Bow to consider.

Well I'm sure Chevy or Toyota would be happy to have you, but I find it hard to believe ford is going to let you walk away without a fight.

I do believe the schedule is already set including the road course, but I will keep my mouth shut about that. Also, I believe bow puts breaks in the season, so people will stay interested. I do really like the idea of duel races in the same evening, I think that could make for some better racing, duels at Daytona. 💡

I do agree with you there, especially Indy being the All-Star event.

Could just give a point for pole and a point to anyone who leads a lap.

This kind of racing happens in the real world all the time, especially in NASCAR. I don't think it is that big of a deal, it didn't even really effect the results of the championship this season. It would have given track a larger lead and there may have been a 3-way tie for third going into the last race, but that is pretty much it.

I will say this though. I am looking forward to the supposed longer races next season.

Daytona duels... Nuff' said. Id love to have an All-Star race at Indy if I had a setup  yeah im looking forward to the races being a little longer, going to be more interesting.

And i don't have a problem with people just running a race and not the championship of they will race clean an legit

I think a point for just leading a lap will negate any bonus at all. Most races I bet had every driver lead at one point or another.

My deal in the 88 Amp Chevy is locked up for a few seasons. I like the idea of a point for leading the halfway lap. That may be added to the points system.

Press release: Just signed with the JGR 2010 Home Depot #20 team. Considered many options, but the things that put it over the edge were the number (another favorite and my birth date) and HD being a favorite store for my other hobby, wooden toy building (amongst way too many house projects). When they said I could have a platinum card that never held a balance, I was in.
