Any one got any lap times they would like to share? My fastest to date is a 1:20.905 on meduim racing tyres at Hong Kong and with more practice i should get it down to a 1:19.
BTW my fastest time time at Opra Paris was a 1:19. 243 on racing meduims.

1:32:297 With the Commodore at El Capitain

&

124:270 With the FPV at Seattle

I also Posted sweet set ups for the 2 cars in the tuning section right Here & Videos will be availible soon in the Rac3rX Videos Thread.

How are you guys getting your lap times? In circuit practice or the actual race?

In my other post they were in pratice. MY fastest lap in the race is a 1:20.657 with a total time of 9:56ms on R3s. I need to change my tyre set up because my tyres were fully red on the last lap and i lost about 10 seconds.

I noticed in your settings you had the full LSD, are we allowed to use that now?

My Set up is geared Twords General Use of these Cars outside of the Series with No ristrictions. I mention in the Parts section its important to only intall the parts allowed if participating in the series (I also Add the Ballast Info in that section) This Series doesnt permit LSD's, so unfortnatly the LSD Settings dont apply, But add them to your car while racing for fun.

Sorry, my bad i must have missed that.

could you guys calm down with the issue about the cars? i havent had time to go on gt4, what iwth homework and going to my auntie pauline and uncle richard's ruby wedding anniverasry gettogther in a NISSAN 350Z!!! let me tell ya, that thing makes an AWESOME noise!!!

nice times mates! haven't got much time for testing but i'll start trying different setups next week and the post my times.......

I sat and thought about this power problem between the cars and it came to me:

In V8 Supercars, the engines aren't the exact same power through 32 cars, only the gear ratios and final drive are fixed. :) So therefore I see no real problem in 1 car having a couple of more horsepower than the others. It's like HRT, they produce more power than say the DODO team or WPS racing (all Holden teams), but due to setup the other teams keep up aswell. :) So let it be, so long as you've got those mods that's all that matters. :)

Mafs!!

Sometimes the answer is so simple you just can't see it!

Brilliant. Adds a whole extra element.

It sounds good but unfortunatly unaplicable in this case.

Run each car with the specified modifications (THe Problem is if people get oil changes, this increases the final power output, and beleve me after tuning each car the Holden has a CLEAR advantage over the FPV, Its exactly like pitting 2 cars against each other but one with a handycap.) and Once you have driven them both it should be clear.

A good way to do it is Run a Lap with one and save the Ghost replay, then grab the other car and run it at the same track, but load the ghost replay of the previous run with the other car.

If the Series is really trully suposed to be a Equaly matched battle the answer is simple, Remove All ballast from the Holden, and Only add 6kg of Ballast to the FPV, this simple change will ballance out the diference making it a True battle of equals.

hang on, why do you say remove all ballast from the holden. if you do that, but leave 6kg of ballast on the fpv, the holden will still have an advantage, wouldn't it? or does the holden weigh more than the FPV? I'm confused!!!

The Holden has more horsepower once you do an oil change to it, and yes it weighs more. The power/weight ratio is nearly equal if you add 6kg to the FPV and allow the Holden an oil change under spec rules.

Obviously I prefer the 2 Way LSD because of fairness reasons.

I think that we should have the fully custom LSD, because tuning the LSD is part of tuning the race car which is the main way you are goin to go faster than the rest, with good settings.

Yeah, but we want the cars to be as even as possible, right? Which is why I'd say a 2 Way LSD would promote better driver competition instead of tuning competition. But, this is just my humble opinion.

Yeah i see your point and i supose that i would make the racing more even. Just have the 2 way LSD.

V8 Supercars run a locked diff, so there ain't no tuning in that area for them. I vote for 2 way.

I like how everyone said that nitro should lower his standards for the number of drivers, well, three weeks before the competition's first race and we've already got more than 32! Good job on setting up such a good event nitro.

My team's been practicing all day, I'm finally down into 1'20's and my brother (My teammate) is hitting 1'21's on RM's.

hey thanks ghost. good to see you're practicing hard. oh, which reminds me, i need to do some practice as well!!!! i haven't done any for a while!!!!

Good job on setting up such a good event nitro.

I have to agree, for my first OLR im happy its all going nice and smoothly and has been made to appeal to beginners and experts alike.

Top job!
👍

First practice of the season for bee:

1'22:805 on basic setting

Im sure i can do much better, i lost it a little on the hairpin in that lap and it is on basic settings, i should be able to get it down to round a 1'20 yet...

No problem lol i speak the truth!

P.S. A little tweak of the gearbox later...

7 tenths taken off :)

About the drag and drift comps...Will those be with the same car and teammates?
