Round 1: Clipsal 500 Adelaide (Hong Kong)​

Welcome to Round 1 of the 2005/6 Australian V8 Supercar Series. We are here at Hong Kong for the Clipsal 500 and the first chance to see who will set the early pace.​

Rules

No wall touching!
Two wheels on the track at all times!
(Rumble strips are considered part of the track)
No hybrids
No cheating of any kind
You may setup your car how you wish, but NO N.O.S (Nitrous Oxide) is allowed.
No tyre restrictions for practice, shootout and races. harder tyres are recommened for the races, but, again, tyre choice is up to you.

Hmm...for practice we can tune up FPV as we want(except) NOS but in the real race we are restricted to this setup for FPV:

Racing Exhaust
Racing Brakes
Brake Controller
NA Stage Level 3
Port Polish
Engine Balancing
Racing Chip
Racing Transmission
Triple Clutch
Racing Flywheel
2-way LSD
Carbon Driveshaft
Racing Suspension
Racing Tyres (any kind)
Stage 1 Weight Reduction
Body Stiffening (roll-cage)
Oil Change
6kg of ballast (added in setup)*
3D Wing Type D (black, grey or white)

right?

Another Q: During practice,are we allowed to discuss total lap times or only sectors?
 
Car modifications (chip, suspension that kind of thing) are fixed. They cannot be changed at all. Car settings (ride height, braking, LSD settings) can be changed as you wish at any point.

ok here is my current qualifying time at the moment. you re allowed to send multiple times, but only your fastest will count. you can also run practice on tyres of your choice. i did this lap on R5s.

T1: '25.321
T2: '52.950
S/F: 1'17.706
 
oh and you are allowed to discuss sectors and lap times in race threads.

ToT - 1'12.084

A low 1'11 would be posiblle with more driving I think but I'm about to submit this time! 👍

By the way just a thought but wouldn't it be better to post up the times at the end, so no-one can just make up a time?
 
Nitro, i know it seems early to start asking favours, but im out tomorrow, is it possible for me to have a little bit more time to post my practice time? Say 7pm gmt?

Well, my sector times are: T1 - 0'23.775 and T2 - 0'49.987

You guys aren't special enough to see my final time. :sly: It's lookin competitive though.

ehh, I did a 1:14.866. I just realized a second ago that the number of ballast you are supposed to have is 6, and not 94. I had close to one hundred kg's of ballast in my car when I was supposed to have only 6 and on top of that I didn't install a racing LSD. sorry, I'm an idiot. I'm gonna go change this and hopefully put up a quicker time.

Thanks dude, and i understand, but when Bee told me practice was today and tomorrow i was like wtf! already? my life is going to fast!:D
 
hehe! sorry about practice being such short notice, but i thought if i started practice on the wednesday, then that would give people more time to set a lap time, you know?

Lol. About that. I really want to, but I don't have a replay thinggie. I've looked into it, and into getting a replay an AR-Max. It looks like soo much fun, and soo many people are in it. If I get an AR-Max I'll be signing up for sure!
