man after those two last those last two posts by you Nitro, I'm surprised that anyone would join a competition that is run by a person with the maturity of a child :yuck:

Thanks for reinforcing my point.

Do you guys really want to compete in a competition with such a childish host?

just shut up and get out before i report you to the moderators as well.

right, now that that's over, don't worry guys, im gonna calm down now. sorry about that. now you still have time to post your time, so let's get to it!!!

Waaait, the deadline was 1 and a half hours ago.

The "jackass" remark was not necessary, and it was reported.

Way to go nitro. Another example of your unorganization. You can't even remember the deadline

Ok so now its midnight?

nitro_2005 - a word to the wise. If you're banned, you'll lose a lot more than a couple of drivers. And how long have you spent prepping this?

So it looks like i missed this practice session, dang. Question, how come we add 1 minute to both race times for missing practice. I mean technically we still have to qualify, shouldnt that rule be set to missing qualifying???? And i think 1 minute is a pretty harsh penalty, no one is going to race 1 minute faster than someone else in 7 laps, well i highly doubt it anyway.

The schedule messed up at some point.

Riiiiight so its quali right now?

So who is in the top 10 shootout? Bee what time did you set for practice?

1'15.450 I think, and with the normal dual shock pad :)

How about you?

1.16.551

only did 3 laps. Were you on qualyfying r5 tires?

Yep and no ASM

look, you missed the practice, you get the penalty. if you don't like it, miss this race and take part in round 2.

Me?

hey guys, i need to talk for a second

obviously, this first round has benn disastrous so far in terms of qualifying. so i think for this first race, all practice times are irrelevent. i need to rethink the qualifying format so it works for everyone. i'll set up a discussion thread for this series so we can talk about this and everything else about this series. does that sound ok? :scared:

Hmm might be a wise idea :).

good.

i was thinking of something like this:

qualifying: monday-wednesday
top 10 shootout: thursday-friday
races: saturday-sunday

how does that sound?

Yep that could work you just gotta remember one thing though, there are plenty of people here that are not in the GMT time zone, perhaps you could make a time converter so people outside GMT will be able to know the exact tiem to get their times in by?

that's a good idea. i'll put that in the thread for round 2. oh and the discussion thread's up.

Ok cool cool that way overseas peeps can get the same amount of time as us, therefore no whining. :)

See ya on the disscussion thread.

remember guys, we are still racing on saturday and sunday, so keep practicing!!!

Is it?

So why are we discussing the new series layout? ARGGH BRAIN HURTS!

yeah, i said we were only scraping qualifying for this race. i never said anything about cancelling the races.

Man, please dont be so hostile, im just saying that if people miss practice, then yeh they missout on valuable preperation. If they miss qualifying, then a time penalty should be set. Am i the only person who sees a problem with a time penalty, especially of that size for missing practice. Its great that we can chat about the qualifying and stuff now to see what people want but you do get a little hostile towards people just giving you some advice.

Eh i missed practice, if the rules stay as they are i should just make sure i dont miss it from now on.

I too, will follow along the lines of R8man and Ebiggs, and will withdraw from this competition. I doubted from the start the level of organisation and more importantly the level of maturity (and lack thereof) of the contest organiser, but decided to enter anyway. However, ontop of above-mentioned, recent experiences of people bending the rules when the cars are partially modified (ie not full mods), has lead me to refuse to enter any competitions from now on under such conditions. I am currently pressed for time as it is, and am competing in a well-organised short-term competition series over at playstation.com with most of the top drivers there competing. You can get personal nitro, but its no skin off of my back and only further tarnishes your reputation
