have faith, mafia_boy. keep looking, you'll find your drivers eventually. you just gotta convince people more. try sending some PMs to people. i did for my team and i got the two drivers for Mobil 1 Racing in no time. i'll keep your team up there for a bit and if you are unsuccesful in about a week, then i'll take it off. how does that sound? :)

Yeah true, im in for sure. Nitro, im sure if you looked 50 was taken by same team 05 was taken, so um ill go 500, which im sure is what u meant. Bring on the season, yeehawww.

I just compiled a quick little tally of our sign-up list.

There's 37 drivers in the list currently and 26 raceteams. And 15 of those teams have drivers that don't have teammates. If you add the teammates in that's 52 cars.

Some people are going to be getting zero points in a season if they drive really badly seeing points only go back to 32nd. :lol:

hey guys, what mafia_boy said doesn't mean you can take part. There is no limit to entries, and as i have stated before, we want as many as possible.

It's sad because this was set to be my first OLR competition, and I'd already got my car set up and everything. I was just waiting for the days to come when I could roll out onto the track with my competitors - oh well, maybe next year eh?...

Good luck to you all - I'll keep up with the competition through these threads and I'll look on in envy.

Yeah, I'll be keeping up with the competition. I'll still have computer access and everything, just no PS2/GT4... :grumpy:

I guess I could compete in the races that are still going once I get back, but we'll see what I feel like in a couple of months. I'll re-enter my team then if I do.

If you need a hand managing this comp just let me know, because I'll be more than capable of lending a hand as long as it doesn't involve any on-track action. I could help collate times, or be 'Driving Standards Observer - Colin Bond'. - or better yet, a Grid Girl... :dopey:

Actually, better not go with the Grid Girl idea - those outfits wouldn't do justice to my legs... :sly: :lol: :)
 
I'm relatively new to the OLR scene. I've over-committed myself. 3 competitions is too much for me...yours would make 4 (although the AMC finishes the same week you're starting) but after that I'd be back to 3. I need to probably do 1 at a time. So, I 'm going to have to withdraw from your series which is unfortunate because it looks like a great tme. Maybe someone can pick up the #17 Westpoint/Shell-Helix FPV GT and do the real life Dick Johnson Racing boys proud. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Maybe I can participate in the latter part of the season or hit it for a race or 2....if that's the case leave me on your list. But there really is no way I can do the 1st race. The AMC is so tight that I've got to be able to give it my best shot that final week.
 
I recommend that you look up the meaning of 'ironic'....

I didn't say I was pulling out because of work. There's more to life than GT4. Competing in 3 series leaves me just enough time for work, sleep and GT4. Some of my "free" time should be devoted to something besides GT4. Your series appears to be very time demanding, maybe even more than normal series (during the weeks there are actual events) with very stringent time frames on when you actually compete. This coupled with my desire to have a life outside of GT4 and work drove my decision. For me work is the same as it always has been.

I'd still like to drop in if / when time allows if that's OK?

cool, but I'm serious, you better be quick. I want to win the championship. but then again I don't know how quick I am. just look at my past WRS finishes. what kind ofl aps are you running in the current WRS? my quickest so far is a 1.08.625. I know I can get to low 1.08's or maybe high 1.07's. but that would be a prefect lap for me. I heard veilside is lapping in the 1.05 range :scared:. I know, he's a jerk. heh. I'm like 3 seconds slower then what is pretty much the best. I really hate him. I just don't know where he finds 3 extra seconds. there are about 2 other guys on this board that can run with him, but he seems to always edge them out. I can do it in real life, but something in GT4 is missing. I guess it is that I can't really feel what the car is doing. in real life I can feel where the g-loading is going and feel the contact patch move around, and stuff like that, but I don't see how he's that much quicker. arrgghh.

was running 1'09s before i moved house - which upset my contesting the last WRS... only done a handful of laps in the latest WRS but was kinda happy with it...

might start tinkering with the GT soon... MUAHAHAHA
