The B.A.D Introduction

Hello and welcome to the

Bathurst Appreciation Division.

This is the hub page for the B.A.D Racing Drivers' Club (BADRDC).

As you've probably already figured out, this racing club is for people who enjoy racing on the quite awesome
Mount Panorama Racing Circuit at Bathurst on GT6.

If this is a track you especially like to race at, or even if you just fancy an organised race there now and again, this is the place for you, because ALL racing which is organised here will take place at this legendary circuit.
Be it high-octane SuperGT battles, thrilling LMP contests, gripping GT3 challenges or scintillating Sports Car festivals, there's most likely something here to suit each and every lover of this great circuit.
To make things easier to organise and in the interest of equanimity - some races will be single make i.e. everyone will usually be in the same model of car. Exceptions will be plentiful, though, so keep calm and carry on reading...

Of course, if you don't much fancy any of the current batch of proposed races just make a suggestion and, once noted, it will be placed in the B.A.D Event Suggestion Box, found on Post #5. Once enough B.A.D Event Suggestions have been collected, they will be put to a vote and the most popular suggestions will then be used to create B.A.D Events, the next of which can be found on Post #4. At present, it is the intention that races take place fortnightly and will most likely be on a different day each event.

As a member of The Bathurst Appreciation Division, your love for the track doesn't have to stop at just racing on it - this thread is also a place to talk about the goings-on regarding racing at Bathurst, be it real OR virtual, and there is also a section dedicated to GT6 B.A.D Lap Records, which can be found on Post #6.

How to become a B.A.D Club Member:

Simply click on the B.A.D Club Member Sign-Up Form link (Post #3), fill in the required fields and your name will then be added to the Club Member List, also found on Post #3. Once this has been done, whenever a B.A.D Event is being organised, you will be tagged in a message which will ask you to confirm your attendance, meaning you'll never have to miss out!

Please do note, though, that you needn't be a member to join in the races. Just post up your details and you'll be added to the sign-up sheet for the next event.

A few, more serious, points which must be made before the fun starts:

Respect all your fellow B.A.D Members at all times, both on AND off the track. Banter is accepted and encouraged, but remain respectful overall - no racially offensive language, obscene profanities or other disrespectful, insulting, offensive or other negative discriminating behaviour is acceptable here. The B.A.D R.D.C is open to people of all different backgrounds so please, bear this in mind before signing up if you feel this may be an issue for you as you may find yourself ejected from The Club if you are found to have failed to behave appropriately. 👍

B.A.D Event Suggestions Box & F.A.Q

Event Suggestions

Q: What time will the races take place?

A: Times & Dates are at present TBD but the plan is to host them at times which are at a reasonable hour for most people. But if there's a race you can't make, don't worry, as there'll be other races at other times of the day, meaning you should be able to race in at least some of the races.

The B.A.D C.A.R.S Project

The Bathurst Appreciation Division Community Assisted Racing Series Project is based on a simple concept:

You, the community, help to organise and arrange events.

The idea behind the thinking here is that sometimes it can be difficult to get together a group of decent drivers from around the world to race one another, simply due to Time Zone issues. So, with the B.A.D C.A.R.S Project, Club Members (and newcomers alike) can use this thread as a hub page to organise races with other Bathurst lovers who are able to participate in the events at the time they state. With some luck, this should open up the club to more users and mean that clean, competitive, organised racing can reach an even wider audience.
