+1 more for the GTR. I find the GTR easier to handle and corner better. I've tried a number of different setups for the CSL but can't make her work quite like the GTR.

CSL. Most brutal street legal BMW ever made. A legend from the day it was made.
 
So many people raved for the E46 GTR and CSL, how about the E92 M3?
 
if you are going to max out the M3 GTR and put racing softs on it wouldn't you be better of with the M3 GTR race car? :p

I think the CSL is a little better balanced with it's lighter engine. The GTR is an homolocation model to allow BMW to use the V8 in ALMS afterall. Not really intended to be more than that. In the end it all depends on what you are going to use the car for. :)

M5. Well not really, but it is a fun car to drive. I have a stock one with sport hard on it just so I can pretend I'm the ring-taxi guy.

Yes, M3 GTR is fast; one of the fastest non-race cars in the game in fact (PP for PP that is), and I personally find it pretty easy to drive. The Z4 is also fun and competitive in lower PP rooms. You don't see them a lot either for some reason, which makes it cooler.

the "ring taxi guy" is a women :) it´s sabine schmitz iirc.

btt: i like all bmw´s. the m3 gtr is most likely the fastest..
 
I'd love to have them both (csl and gtr) in my real life garage. I buy them everytime i see them in UCD.
E46 M3 GTR is faster than E46 M3 CSL, but not by much.

Still both cars are great to drive. Love to take them on ring.
 
For me its the M5, i love the V10 in that car even if it is a bit heavy.

a slightly different opinion, and bending the rules of "street legal".

BMW 320i Touring Car. it's not as fast as the M3's, but i find it far more fun to drive for the sake of driving. but if it's pure speed you're after, stick with the others, like the GTR. i use my 320i Touring for 'ring and general skills training... no better car for tweaking your skills IMO (as far as BMW's go).

I have the CSL, GTR, and the Z4 and Z4M Coupe. They are all very fast at the optimum PP. But, best for me is this one.

i use a 1 SERIES DIESEL for drifting, it has perfect balance and great torque, good for racing as well
 
definately the M3 GTR for me. Handles like a race car......
 
I love both my M3 and my M5, I prefer the M5 though, theres just something cool about beating Corvettes and Ferraris with a four door:p

On that note also racing exhaust is out as the noise emissions would be too high to get the car registered as a street car :p

This is indeed just a game and people are free to do what they want. Just felt like nitpicking a little. :D

Well I've always known about the whole loud exhaust deal but never about the slicks, so thanks for pointing that out hah.
 
The M3 Coupe 07, Z4M and M3 03 are my best and around the 500pp range they are unbeatable around nurb.
 
BMW 2002. I have one of mine maxed out, 478Pp I think, and honestly never lost online to anything near its power level. It's a giant killer.

I think the E92 is a great car to drive but I prefer the CSL. It seems better balanced and easier to toss around.
