Well I think I've come to a conclusion that the "best" street legal BMW is the BMW M3 GTR on sport soft tires.

I guess... you take your M3 GTR on sport softs and i'll roast you every time in my M3 CSL with racing softs everytime, with less HP.

I spent a lot of time driving both for a 520pp online league and at that point at least, the consensus seemed to be with the CSL

any BMW that has the S54 motor in it! oh what a honey for a powerplant.. I would say the M5, but the car has zero feel to it, even through a controller.. you have no idea when the car will hit its limits until you overdrive it and your lap goes up in smoke as the tail flies out

My CSL is 1 sec faster on Deepforest than the GTR

really? hm.. then its a bad setup for my GTR

I suppose so. When you get it set up right it is almost unbeatable between 500 and 575Pp

I've been to busy with other things in game to really compare all the BMWs. However I know for just being a shear blast to drive my vote goes to the M5 '05 with a fully modified engine and Drivetrain (no LSD) on race softs with NO other modifications. The stock suspension is surprisingly good, possibly the best in the game, and even with the race softs you have to have good throttle control or its like driving a superheavyweight yellowbird. Watch your throttle control and that big barge just floats around the track and while I've never tested its top speed 175 mph without a draft on the Supercar Eifel straight is nothing to complain about.
