my current endboss literally is the last IA license on Norschleife with the 962 Porsche.
I am not sure if this even made for controller players cause its more than ridicilous to stay extremely sensitive and get every corner perfect with this car.
another mission where the frustration is way above the motivation to force gold.
Keep us all posted on your progress with all the tests and missions. I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to gold that crazy IA test at the Nords. The Gr. 1 monster is so damn quick, it's hard to control the car and be precise through each of the turns and corners. The demo always blows my mind to another galaxy everytime I see it. There had to be some major expert that clocked that super hot lap.

my current goal is to improve the time from day to day by a little. the current best time so far is a 1:57 close to 1:56 by a view hundreds of a second. so I am basically very close cause I know on which corner I lose time (theory =/= execution ^^)
its a torture. every restart several seconds of waiting is killing me. and so far after hundred of attempts I never was in front of the ghost at the first corner.
but I still dont give up.
yesterday for example I only managed a 1:57:5
imo every person who was involved in gt7 development, should master this license in gold and if they dont succeed in one day, they have to quit their job

Practice makes perfect.
yesterday I improved again. less than 2 tenth of a second...I hope this nightmare ends soon :D

Right, I'm sure the demo driver had to do it multiple times in order to score a gold time... that's what these tests are for.
it feels like this car drives with other physics. in the demo for example he shifts to second gear in turn 1. when I do that I am literally 2 seconds behind.

I am still 2 tenth behind. At least I figured out why the demo ghost is so fast in the first corner, because he drives without TCS. actually you dont need TCS for this car to my suprise. you can push the trigger without any concerns down, because I always forget that GT7 is just a semi sim. my biggest problem is the fast double right corner with the short downhill where you almost jump. When I follow the tutorials on youtebe and only brake 50% I drive literally straight ahead instead right. also the schwalbenschwanz is a part where I lose the most time, because the car always slips out of the vert or bounces off the curb. there is no middleway.
all in all I have to stopp thinking like this is a sim and realistic, maybe than it works.

TCS is always a hindrance if you have it set to 2-5. It will help the car be stable on the road but you will lose any good exits from all corners and turns/hairpins. It took me a long time to figure the puzzle out, but once I dropped the TCS to 0, my lap times improved greatly.

TCS will always make you slower.

TCS will always make you slower.
Sadly, PD doesn’t know how to implement traction control properly. With the exception of F1, every racing group/category in the real world has implemented traction control on their cars and the drivers are going faster around the tracks than they were without it. Maybe not seconds per lap faster, maybe even incrementally slower per lap, but overall race time may be reduced due to better tire life, etc. In GT7, however, traction control actually slows you down in lap times and in overall race time.

That said, if I’m driving any cars that are Gr.3 or faster, I’m using traction control. Nothing like having fully warmed slicks going around a fast turn with downforce keeping you glued to the track but the slightest goose of the throttle spins the back end out. That seems really realistic to me…..
