What a great SUNDAY race today guys, very fun and good track choice! Watching the replay back made me chuckle again, I love that night race so intense, last race I fumbled my tyres selection and hit the barrier but all's well that end well lo!

oh I remember that race where I started P1 ! Then T1 happened and I was last 😭

managed at least one podium, so there's that 😊

I had a lot of fun especially in VR, I hope my greek style was not too annoying today, next sunday back to a better connection hopefully

Yes my friend you seemed to have quite a bit lag from my point of view!!!

Great work, @ZEE

At least you finished third and not last. You have to look at the positives of the outcome of each race/event.

Dear friends,

For our next Titan event, user @smoothbore12 has NOT selected this combo :

Ferrari F40 '92 on SS tyres @ Dragon Trail Seaside.

Sport pads, sport brakes and sport suspension.

Races of 5 laps, with some surprises from host @MUC76

The Clash of the Titans are friendly races, so we don't play for money, for ranking, for glory, etc.
We don't carnage for the fun, we try to drive clean as possible (but sometimes, sh**t may happen).

Thanks @ikon_313 for the thumbnail ;)

I know that you have already put a lot of work and love into this combo and that's why I decided to start preparing for the Clash right away. Well, thanks to the automatic replay I am able to show you my gentleman's racer in the blink of an eye before it got hammered into the wall!

I am not sure whether the repair work can all be done until sunday. Yes, I am good... thanks for asking!

(I had a poster of this car in my room as a boy and still like the look of it - but how is this supposed to be driven?!? 🤢)

but how is this supposed to be driven?!?
Exactly like you did. I drove it exactly like that.
Thus it must be the way to do. 😎

For sure a lot of work for our Co-Titans, but they have enough time to learn that until Sunday. 😁

That was really fun today, just the right amount of chaos to keep it interesting 👌

Watching the stream, I saw I lost control and caused havoc for @smoothbore12 and maybe Tuna. I didn’t realize it was me stepping on the grass... sorry, I should have conceded. 🙁
If one of your followers wondered about my "driving"- style. Please tell them that I downloaded the game yesterday 😆

Thanks mate!

@Met Entso : Tried to watch the stream, but I feel nauseous very quickly when you start racing with VR.

On the other hand I did not feel even the slightest hint of nausea while driving in VR myself. My only issues was that it took me 4 different spots in my living room to finally get the headset to succeed scanning the room, while there was plenty of light. I wanted to use a seat from my car (the back seats are removed from my Scenic, they live in the basement), it would be more immersive than my couch (and less hot too), but I could not find a spot where I was able to scan the room successfully. In the end I sat on the couch in front of the TV and it scanned very quickly.

And I really think VR made me a better driver too. My sole training for the event was 10 laps on the 28th (wednesday). Managed to pull of some 1:44s today.

How is VR helping you, guys?
For me I'd say it gives me a much better perception of the track, and in particular the turns, and I can look directly to apex, exit and various parts of the turn that would be hidden longer on flat screen because out of sight.

Some turns feel so much more pronounced in VR than on flat screen too.

And it is very natural to turn your head to look where you want the car to go instead of having your head fixed with blinkers on the sides.

Overall it gives a much better sense of what I do on track.

And when racing with people I can look into all my mirrors or turn my head around to see where the cars are.

Plus, I always want to wave at other pilots but GT7 does not support gestures for now 🤣 so just for the fun I say (in my head, not to disturb people) "Hey Martin ! I'm on your right side waving you, turn your head will you ?"
