^The problem with Kazunori being a perfectionist is the fact that he was really pressured to release the game. If everyone gave him some more time, it would have been better. Play GT5, and then wait for Gran Turismo 6.

I think he had enough time . I will play GT5 and love it, and hope that GT6 will be how GT2 was to GT1 and how GT4 was to GT3. Lay the foundation first, then build on it.

Good way to say it, but I've got a different feeling for the games. It's like GT1 gave birth to GT2, and then GT1 and GT2 gave birth to GT3, GT3 gave birth to GT4, GT4 gave birth to GT:HD, which gave us GT5:P, which eventually ends us with GT5. Weird way to put it, but he's had a damn good amount of time, and I'm glad that he at least made a damn game. Be happy for that!

And yes Devedander, people do need to realize how Kazunori set up the game towards the more important parts. We have a lot of cars, some great tracks, and a nicely updated system of racing, not to mention our own personal track creator. Sometimes you just have to look at it positively.

its not that they broke a promise. its just that if you are going to take 8yrs to make a game.....""8"" yrs. it better have EVERYTHING!! of course there are going to be things that they dont have but 76 skylines, and not 1 non turbo 300zx or 96 mustang or lotus exige s? come on guys. they went a little over kill on some cars but left out the good ones. like a honda element?... are you friggin serious? why? that kind of stuff is just a waste of time. when they could have been spending more time on some more important and fun cars. i love that the gt series has underdogs, and they have TONS of super fancy cars, but where are all the mid class cars. they have non turbo 3000gts, non turbo skylines, but no N/A 300zx's or v6 mustangs or camaros. i just think if they are going to spend that much time on a game, dont leave out the good stuff. im still super excited about the game coming out, and know its going to be the best racing sim game to this date and probably untill the next one comes out in the year 2035 and all of those small things like rain, dirt, dust, headlights, brake lights, damage and all that add to the realism. they just wasted time on things like go karting and nascar. they need more drifting cars and head to head drifting matches. its a japanese game and they have "NASCAR" wtf?

You are right, I read it too fast and got the wrong gist. Apologies.

That said, every time I see somethign devolve from a mature discussion it is at the hands of someone who hates complainers and seeks to tell them they are wrong for complaining, which invariably evokes a negative response.

So perhaps onlygoodthingsaboutgt5.com would be a good idea since it is those who feel the need to prevent negative things about GT5 from being brought up that cause the situation to spiral down... segregate them into their own little world and we can all exist reasonably and happily out here.

My problem isn't with those pointing out the shortcomings of GT5. I welcome that. We know PD keeps an eye on the boards and just being a bunch of fanboys and ignoring the negatives doesn't give them helpful feedback.
I have some issues with GT5 but I am not going to attack PD or Kaz for not making exactly what I want OR for aiming a little higher than what was realistic. Some of the negative comments about GT5 are proper and tastefully posted which add to the forums but others are just childish. It is the latter I am opposed to.
That said, I do understand. We have all hyped this game up a lot and every little shortfall it has is that much harder to swallow.
