Complaining about not being able to change rims on 800 cars is NOT nitpicking! that is something that should just be a given, what is wrong with you people? that is the most basic of things one should be able to do in a game that is dedicated to cars and was available in GT4. now it has been removed.

I love the GT series like most anyone here but I am not a blind fanboy. I want the GT series to evolve not take steps back. We are PAYING customers so we have every right to voice our displeasure and discontentment with the product put out by PD. They should be catering to the customers that buy their product and pay their salaries if they don't then they will probably slowly start losing more and more customers.

GT5 will be the greatest til something better comes out. Plus if you have played iracing or even rfactor or NFS, racing wise, those games are likely already better.

How is that possible?. Asphalt is reflective, add headlights to that and it's even clearer to see.

The thread is true though. You aren't going to get what you want. Sony is absolutely not listening to us. Learn to accept that please. I honestly cannot believe what has turned because of all this. All you people ruined the game for me. I bet a lot of people were wondering why the hell every single thing had to be revealed. You know what? I didn't want to know anything. I wanted to sit and read through other parts of the Forums, but no, all you people had to fish around. Now I know almost everything about the game, the tracks cars, and what's happened. And it's everyone's fault for sitting here and complaining about every little damn thing.

Here's a list to resolve some things:

-Premium are premium, standard or standard. You've lived through 12 years of GT without cockpits, so why cry now?
-The tracks are fine. Drive them. Enjoy them. Don't cry. If you want to drive a track from GT4, then play GT4, No one's forcing you to play GT5.

And all you people, is it a real huge deal about GT? Yes, a lot of us are fanatics, but there's a point were you just go over the limit with this and becomes an addiction. It's a video game, you play it to your pleasing, you don't need 100's of people to influence your opinion. Shut up and play the game, whether you enjoy it or not.

The day that we stop having expectations of these games is the day that the quality of them dies forever. If ALL this board was comment after comment of "WOW the game is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!! Don't change anything!!!" how well do you think that would bode for the future of Gran Turismo? There's nothing wrong with expectations. At all.

As for 12 years of no cockpits, should we be OK with the game still looking as it did 12 years ago? Physics from 12 years ago? Car roster from 12 years ago?

Racing sims are about being SIMS. The physics in IR are there, the looks with IR2 will be there.

To tell the truth, no. While I can't fix that, I don't get where the total idiotism occurs. It's a good gaming site, but with people who have to debate such smallest aspects aren't getting the point of the game. It's a driving simulator. Whether the Veyron is a Premium car isn't detracting from the real idea of GT. You're supposed to just drive the car, and enjoy it. I know these things, great. But I remember GT4. I didn't know a damn thing. Greatest game of my life. New adventures by the every single day. GT5....well I already know. I know about 60% of the game. Do I know what the game's physics are like? No. I guess that's the biggest thing.

Lemme explain why: It's called evolution. Things are suppoed to get BETTER with time, not stay the same or get worse.

BTW let's not forge that GT5P was the game to really sell the cockpit view strongly... up until then cockpit view in most games was at best a low poly ugly affair that did the job but not much more... so you want to blame someone for getting people all excited over cockpits? Blame the same people who are making them all unhappy now: PD.

As someone said, the game is about driving, but if it gave you a 1000 cardboard cut outs for cars with the GT5 physics, would you still be excited to have the game?

It's not boring, it's stupidly demanding and hard. They have leagues and races going on all the time.

Not what I was trying to get at. Now do I regret being a former info hunter? Yeah. I'd just wish that people would sit down and play the game. It won't be perfect and never, ever will be. It's impossible. I just want people to stop worrying about every aspect because it's a driving simulator, you drive the car, and you should enjoy it no matter what it is, unless the car annoying. I can drive a 240RS Rally Car and have as much fun as driving a Pagani. I should enjoy the car because hey, I will probably not drive any of them.

I'll be brief, after six years, and all the secrecy from PD & Sony.. Everyone is entitled to blow off some steam IMO.

Nobody could have imaged after six years that aspects of the game from previous releases would be sacrificed.. Nobody could have imaged that after six years graphical compromises would still need to be made... For six years GT5 was everything that everyone wanted it to be, without question. Unfortunately for some their specific hopes, dreams, and desires came crashing down slowly as leaks were made available. We've all waited six years for GT5, if at release you're content.. then great. If you're one of the ones not willing to settle.. Well then you still deserve a voice IMO. lol, OP this is the internet.. Nice attempt at a rant though.
