It's partly because I'm not interested in 90% of modern Lambos to begin with, but I was very disappointed with the latest Elite bundle. If the bundle were refundable, I'd want my 2.6 million bucks back.

Why? Here's why...

A slightly more serious complaint:
When Crew was compared to Forza Horizon, one of the clear advantages it had was the abundance of customization options. Especially for supercars, while 99% of FH supercars only had the ugly and boring "Forza" splitters and spoilers, many of the supercars in Crew had decent customization options.
However, it seems like more and more models added to TCM from Year 2 onwards have limited customization options like this. Of course, I understand that adding these options requires not only licensing restrictions, but also the additional time and cost required to design, model, and add customization parts.
But the fun of customization is an advantage Crew has, so I hope they don't forget that as much as possible.

Congrats to @strela on getting 2nd place in the Custom Show this week! 🎉
Thanks. I really got lucky. When your car shows at the right time situation.😅

So next month is all about BMW. Main stage car is not a Crew 2 summit car. So no surprise the Summit vehicle is going to be the Jeep Gladiator. Wait, what?

I'm looking forward to both the M Hybrid and the CSL, but my only concern is that these cars may once again have significant limitations on customization.

Of course, I'm not expecting body kits or anything like that for either car, since they're in the racing category.

But my biggest concern is that the livery editor may not be available for these cars.
Both cars are real race cars, and have liveries that are close to those used in actual races. If we're going by the examples of similar cars in the past, it's likely that these cars will also have the livery editor locked.

In particular, the M Hybrid is the first full-fledged modern prototype racer in the Crew series, so I'd like to try out various liveries with it and see what other people create. Please, IVT!

[EDIT] Unfortunately, this fear turned out to be true. The only saving grace is that the M Hybrid costs less than 1 million bucks.

Uff.. Was too confident and didn't improve my times in the summit. Dropped 3000 places in the last 10h. Was pretty shocked this morning. 😅

Not a complain but having the 3.0 in the same category as the M Hybrid feels wrong. Loving both cars so far.

Since I still don't have good enough part sets, I'm just doing Summits for the "Participation Rewards" now. It would be cool to get a Plat or two, but I'm just not used to this format compared to TC2's.

You can get plat absolutely fine with pink parts. All I've done when I've started on new accounts is level the cars up to max number, which generally happens just from doing a few playlists, then any type of part I don't have a pink part for, I just merge 3 blues. Then I recalibrate the pink part affixes. Obviously, use any gold parts of the right type that you do have, but it's no problem at all to get plat like this.

I've given up playing Motorfest, though, because the Summit cars are never worth having, and even if they were, ranked Grand Races are absolute trash as they have turned so many people into rammers now. I only want to do races that are 3 tarmac categories and no collisions, but often there isn't even one available in any of the future races shown in game, and they've broken the websites that used to show schedules, so basically I just can't be bothered to keep running the game up to see if there's a race I want to do on the schedule.

I still play The Crew 2 when there's a boosted set that I want on offer.

Competitiveness depends on the Platinum reward. When it was the M4 CSL it was definitely a lot harder to get plat.

But in general I'd say the only Gold parts you need are is a full scorebreaker set, it makes a big difference for the Feats scores.

You've intrigued me now, I'll have to have a go at it!
Maybe you won't notice it. You are a top 1000 fastest players after all. For me it changed a lot. I'm not sure is it because season 8 brought new players but I'm definitely struggling to remain in platinum the last two months.

Not for me. I was top 10k last week on Monday. Ended in 14700. Today I'm top 8k. It could look like I'm doing much better this time but I'm just a few thousand points away from 10k.

I just had a go, 4500th with one attempt at each event (except the off road one where I needed several attempts to do a run that wasn't a complete disaster), and I used a loot set with goldfinder and lucky, so no performance affixes, recalibrated pink parts would be much better than what I used. For the event where you used the M5 CS Rival Edition I was 7 seconds quicker than your time (I used the M3 CS), I think, even though I used a loot set, so I think you could go a lot faster if you wanted to.

I did the same event with the M3 CS many times and still can't improve my M5 time.

I'm not bothered about the Summit rewards - I don't have the skills to get above silver and the rerolling crap I refuse to spend time on to get "perfect" sets. I will get the Summit cars in the future, either via tickets in the shop or, towards the end of game, when Summits are rerun, assuming that happens the same way as TC2. By then, getting Platinum should be more achievable for me.

My irritation with the Summit is the meagre rewards for completing 3,6,9 events in most weeks, which dont provide much enticement either. At least we got 5 Hypercar parts last week.

I do try to complete most of the Main Stage tasks as they are more interesting to me, in order to get to level 10 and unlock the main Main Stage rewards. I know you can get these via the Legacy, but I get more enjoyment from the game this way.

I've also stopped logging in daily for Custom Show voting, unless I am playing the game properly that day.

All these things help to reduce the amount of burnout/fatigue from playing the game day after day, as I only need to play about 2 days a week this way.

I want to keep the game "fresh" for March when the big stuff arrives (Nascar, and the track creator especially).

I should finish by saying these are only minor quibbles in the end. There is so much to enjoy in this game between collectibles, tasks, feats, Legacy events, custom mode etc etc, there's no need to be funnelled into one particular mode of the game (I.e. the Summit).

I recorded a run with a nitro chemist set, it was 18 seconds faster than your time (387th on the leaderboard). I'm uploading it to YouTube so you can see it, but you probably might as well just watch Akor's as he goes 6 seconds quicker than me doing mostly the same thing, but he cuts a bit more off some corners, and does a big cut and reset near the end. You've been much closer than 18 seconds to me for many events in the past, so I'm sure you can take a lot of time off if you look at where you're losing the time compared to Akor's run.

Edit: here's my run if you want to watch it:

Thanks @breeminator . I appreciate. But I did another 4 runs. Every time finished 0.2-0.4 seconds behind my best time. It's a skill issue. I know. But than I have 1800 hours already in Motorfest. I doubt I can improve much.
Anyway. If a time comes when I won't be making it into plat, I will just aim for gold. 😊

The Grand Races has become more of a cesspit since they added a reward structure to it, so many rammers and crayon eaters who spoil your race.
