Nvidia released a new driver today which includes a fix for the awful flickering of grass etc in TCM.

Except...

There are 2 possible executables for TCM which are:
TheCrewMotorfest; and
TheCrewMotorfest_BE

Can you guess how many are named in the new driver profile?
Correct - the first one ONLY!

If you have the second one (like me!) it won't fix the flickering UNLESS you go through the long winded (and way beyond me...) replacement process in the reddit thread below...

So I've had to revert to the last stable driver from January (which predates DLSS4.5 so I can't even use that either!).

Does anyone even test these things!!!

Cool 🤠 that's been annoying me since i switched to pc i just did a quick test and it seems to be fixed

Ewww those summit events with the pit mini games are just terrible, so glad I avoided the Nascar DLC. Noticed last week was hard to get platinum without cheating only managed gold playing legit with no resetting cheese. There's no Fomo with prestige points and im quite pleased with that sub system. Motorfest is slowly fading in the rear view mirror for me, still enjoy dipping in now and then. Certainly had my money's worth! (1568 hrs!!).

If you have any nitro kits spare use iron grip (although many times nitro is off so any spare kit will do) then you only need the odd fuel stop.

After practicing with the Formula Legends pit system, I think I can nail Motorfest's almost perfect. They're almost similar IMO.

Its easy enough to do but utterly pointless over such short duration races, and button bashing is something that needs to stay in firmly 80's/90's retro gaming yawn... I do enjoy the strategy of pitstopping though. Ive done several hour long spa runs on gt7 this week, not so sure it maps onto motorfest in any meaningful way at all.

Just noticed some players seem to have a Purple Motorfest Logo by their usernames. Happened two or three times to see these. Are these developer accounts or just really, really high level players?

It was nice to see this in the latest Nvidia driver update. Motorfest starting having flickering vegetation about the same time as AC EVO, but AC EVO fixed it with a game update whereas Motorfest seems to have waited for a driver fix.

Old news

Fingers crossed your executable is named TheCrewMotorfest and not TheCrewMotorfest_BE as the second one isn't listed in the updated profile so the fix doesn't work until you download and apply a, erm, fix to the fix...

Sodding game so annoying today 🤬 i decided to run it in 4k last night most the races were ok keeping 60 fps but online was down to 55fps and it was very noticeable on screen even on low ops the screen tear was bad even at 60fps.You can't change res in game unless you're in window mode otherwise it's running the same as desktop res so i reset the desktop to 1440p and rebooted the game GRRRRRRRRRR 3 hours later i finally get it running again at the correct res the game would boot the music would play but nothing in the task bar only in the task manager even deleting xml files to reset the ops didn't work 🤯 luckily i fixed it before my fist went through the TV god knows how though

They posted a detailed announcement image regarding RCs, and several new facts can be gleaned from it.

First, it was previously stated that the only RC that didn't require Y3P was the Summit Reward, but with the Phazr RC Comet becoming a Main Stage Reward, two RCs are now available even without Y3P.

And this is likely a measure to make machines for the two categories that RCs support, ST1 (Comet) and RR (Traxxas X-Maxx Ultimate), available to all users for free.

Another point is the high degree of customization available for RC vehicles.

This buggy without a body, which was shown in the RC trailer, I had speculated that it might be one of the vehicles included in the RC update.

However, since it wasn't included in their latest announcement, and there are similarities in the parts other than the body, it's almost certain that this is the same vehicle as the TrickShot (yellow RC) shown in the announcement image.

Similarly, the similarities suggest that many of the RCs shown in this teaser image are customized versions of other RCs.

For example, this is a customization example of the General.
You can see different hood scoops and headlights.

The customized version of the Rust Bucket also features a massive rear spoiler and a large hot rod-style exhaust, similar to what was seen on the HuP One.

These examples clearly demonstrate that the RC is a highly customizable model, allowing for a wide range of styles to be enjoyed.

Furthermore, since these RCs use different liveries, the tragedy of the Chase Squad, which was Year Pass content but even livery changes were restricted, should not occur (probably...).

Formula Legends imo is a very underrated racing game. I gave that game along with The Crew Motorfest a 8.2/10. Especially with the additional content of Formula E Cars. I wish the crew Motorfest also have formula e Cars added.

Seeing how many partnership Playlists they have now (LBWK, Hoonigan, NASCAR, etc.), I wouldn't be surprised if Formula E is in the near future.

Watched a video of that does look like fun, thanks for the recommendation (seems to have decent gameplay).

Hmm...the list has a high proportion of European cars again, and almost all of them belong to ST1/ST2/hypercars...

Of course, I understand that the content for these GaaS games is set up long before the actual service is launched, but after getting a large number of European tarmac cars in the latter half of Y2, it's a mixed feeling to see lists that are biased towards these countries and categories again.

This list has many of my favorite models, but I would have liked to see new content added to categories such as rally, rally raid, and of course, boats and airplanes. The appeal of the TC series for me is the variety of categories available, so it's a shame that with TCM they've completely shifted their focus to tarmac cars.

Is it weird that I'm looking forward to the 500?
No, that little fella would be cool to modify like some builds here in Italy.
Same for the Delta Integrale.
Three cars in this list made their Videogame debut, and a brand it's in the 1st apperance of all racing videogames; the car itself it's not my taste, but if your looking about the history, in the 30's, that marque have made some of the most gorgeous cars in French Car Industry (I'm quite fond about the "Art Deco" cars made by French Car Makers in the '20-'30s...)

Another Season, another Legend Rank achieved. 🏆
It's unbelievable, I remember you are great in Gran Turismo, I'm not bad in Gran Turismo (can gold everything, A/S etc) , but I also played this game a lot and don't understand how can someone be good at both.. Physics makes no sense.. I managed to win 2 Grand races since I started playing.. TWO.. and it was difficult 😆

I used to be okay at GT Sport, had A+ driver rating. When I had a period of consistently doing Motorfest grand races and you could get stats from the Ubisoft website, I had a 20-25% win rate in grand races. The assists and controller settings are pretty huge in Motorfest. I personally quite like the physics, though I think they're a bit of a step backwards from The Crew 2 in some ways. The Crew 2 has a super realistic bite to the tyre grip when you transition from sliding to re-gaining grip, whereas with Motorfest they've moved it a bit in the direction of FH5's unrealistic floatiness, though it's nowhere near as bad as FH5.

If anyone hasn't already tried the Temerario, it's definitely worth a try, seriously quick car, I got into the top 50 on the French Dreams track with it (Dream Cars playlist). The Arese RH95 is very close, I was less than 0.1 secs slower with it.

Their latest RC countdown trailer featured a car that was, in a way, even more interesting than the RC itself.

That car is the HuP One Burning Wheels Edition.
At first glance, there seems to be nothing unusual about it, but notice the wheelie bar, which this car shouldn't have.

There's also a HuP One with the same name in the drag category, but that one was formerly called the "Inferno Edition" and is a different model with an unchangeable lava-like body and tires.

The recent S10 content leak list showed examples of existing custom cars being added to different categories, but is this HuP One another example of that, or is it simply their mistake? Who knows?

This happened before in TC2. In one of the Freestyle discipline cutscenes, you can clearly see the newer Raptor as a Monster Truck, which you couldn't get at all.

Maybe you can get wheelie bars as vanities now? I know some old muscle cars already have them as visual mods.
