This thread is ONLY for discussion of the new Trackforge feature, following it's release on 4th March and especially for sharing tracks that you create and any great tracks that you find from others [don't forget to include the 9 digit code!].

For anyone living under a Crew-free rock, the deepdive trailer sets out the basics.

From what I've seen so far, my favourite part is the segregation of realistic, semi-realistic (with jumps etc added) and Not WheelsTM tracks into 3 separate categories.

I'll be playing around with it to get comfortable with the controls and different pieces, but I'll eventually try out some easy recreations.

My first attempt: share ID: 000013642
Racing car, tyre wear & infinite boost refill. Incorporates the corkscrew, eau rouge, monaco lots of changes in height. Has a few corner entrances hidden by the undulations. Who can set the best time? Its great these have leaderboards on them.

@breeminator tidy time you set there! I tip my hat, I can only get within 4 seconds... rapidos!

Added a new time attack with Hypercars 000026693 "Chicane Cutlets"

I have now tried both of these.

The reverse Laguna Seca "corkscrew" on the time attack takes some time to get used to, having only ever driven it downwards (and walked around it back in 2001)

I'm a slow driver though, so time attacks are not suited to me.

On the race event, I don't think the undulations on the circuit suit fast cars very well. Also, those two 180 degree turns felt a bit too "Tilke"-esque to me  But it was a great first effort.

Was your race made under the first ("authentic") or second ("unleashed") category??

It is a bit surreal driving on the sections taken from real circuits, the corkscrew, the Silverstone esses, Monaco hairpins downhill, Monza chicane (probably the worst part of the circuit for them to replicate!) And no doubt lots of other bits I missed!

There is an obvious issue with the completion percentage on events as the percentage was stuck on 57% for a long time on your race event.

I also had to learn - stay off the blue surface off-track as it slows you down massively.

Apart from the bugged percentage fix, in the future I would like them to add the possibility to search for a track by name/word e.g. "Nordschleife".

As it is setup currently, it is going to be sheer fluke to come across anything you are specifically looking for.

I made it under authentic, the undulations were deliberate with the tyre wear for jeopardy... the last section was straighter with wear in mind. Its interesting / testing the early versions were too easy to drive, so adding the dynamic cambers and tightening corners / hidden apex's makes for a better challenge. Problem is there is not enough part variations to make truly dynamic tracks. I really like driving reverse sections of famous tracks sections (brings to mind the grid games with the reverse layouts). The coaster layouts just dont function at all well, which is a shame as they do look good. I might have another dabble, but I dont see scope to make anything truly worthwhile with the current parts set.
