I'm finding it the tuning a bit challenging to understand. Why can't I buy performance parts for my car? I'm currently in a shop with plenty of visual parts, but not a single performance part available.

I had the same problem with The Crew on Thursday. :scared: But Driveclub worked, so it might not be your PS4. What was the other game?
I have fixed it now, but none of my games worked. to fix it, i simply put all of my save data onto my usb, deleted it all and put it back. Odd...

Can you only have one car designated for each spec or something? Or is it just a real hassle to change specs? Because judging from the first trailer it looks like you can change specs on the fly. It'll be a bummer if you can't do that.
You buy a spec for each car (level 0 is like $1,500). You earn parts for that spec, when you earn parts it's free on the car you earn it with and other cars you take to a tuner to buy new parts. There are two ways to change specs on a car. Go to your HQ and go to car collection, OR go to the mobile garage on your phone (Options button on PS4) and it orders all of your cars and each of their specs in order of car level, it also shows their stats. Changing cars stops your car and loads your new one, takes mere seconds.

You have to earn them. Take any perf car, do some skill challenges, races etc. and earn a few parts. Then when you are in a tuner you can buy any part you have unlocked for any perf class car

Done that. Multiple times actually. I've gathered that you earns parts as a reward, however...

I have unlock/earned several parts, but the tuner in Detroit still shows me nothing besides visual parts.

Detroit? I thought the perf tuner would be in Miami or Vegas, Detroit is the street tuner.
There are different tuners for each class correct?
Yes, I'm not 100% but I believe these are the tuners
Street: Detroit
Dirt: New York
Performance: Miami
Raid: Las Vegas
Circuit: Los Angeles

Perf & Raid may be mixed up, I havent progressed far into the game.

My apologies, I've used the word Performance without realizing there is a spec with that name. I simply meant to set the difference between a visual part, and a part that enhances the car stats.

Currently I only got Detroit and New York tuners and unlock.
I simply wish to purchase a suspension kit, but the shop shows me there's nothing to buy.

Then you mustn't have unlocked any suspension kits, you sure you have some unlocked? Parts only show when you have won them via an in game activity. Also I don't think it shows alraedy equipped parts but I could be wrong there, havent been on it since PSN went down, obviously

I got DriveClub for £10 and The Crew last week for £25 on GAME. I do love a bargain.

By the way, is there a manual for the game that I can check online? And I don't mean a wiki page.

I got GTAV for £35 on PS4 and the steam sales got me a whole bunch of bargains :)

The physical manual, six pages, (remember when manuals where actually manuals with information and not just a few pages of stuff you already know?) Anyway, the WIKI section in game is the only acknowledged "MANUAL" for the game, a search of THE CREW ONLINE MANUAL turned up the IGN wiki for THE CREW

I got it as a Christmas present and have enjoyed it so far. Using an Xbox controller on the PC. It feels like midnight club mixed with TDU.

Also are the graphics that bad? My PC is running it on max setting and it looks ok.

PS4 :grumpy:

So I bought it for £38.55. That seems expensive.

I've wondered what the 'normal' price of games are in other countries, if there is one. Because at most stores, $60 is the price.
Man I feel sorry, I mean I got it on PS4 too. In the UK £50 is normal price, so mine was half that (£25) Big games like COD and GTA is usually £50, THE CREW was £50 til it got put down to £25, if you want to be in my crew on THE CREW add me on PSN JASON_ROCKS1998 when PSN is back up, none of my freinds got the crew because they thought it was crap but I like it.

It looks good but not as good as other games AAA racing games e.g. Driveclub, FH2, etc

What made me buy The Crew is the large land mass and the car customization. The Crew didn't look great graphically, but the content I think will even it out.

Same here, my parents just would not buy the crew for me unless it was under £20 but I got £60 every 2 weeks so I bought it myself. I haven't run into any players though, a few have spawned in but havent seen another players car yet.

I have run into alot of players on PC. One managed to get in my way on a slalom challenge :grumpy:. A funny moment was when I was looking for a satellite I drove across a road and nearly got t boned by a guy who was getting chased by police .

I also randomly clicked on to a guy in a Golf on my map and it followed him, I could zoom in and watch him drive around :p.

To PC players (might apply to console players too, dunno): Is there still that ugly grainyness at night that was there in the beta?

Here is what I'm talking about. (Notice how grainy it is near the upper half of the screen.)

Well most players that have spawned have been my level (Mostly between 10-15) but that was in NY. I've seen 2 lvl 50 in NY. And on a road trip from LA to Miami (Visiting all car lots to fill the car colleection board in HQ) I had a level 50 pop up. I tried to follow him in my GT-R but he fast travelled 50 miles away :(. Maybe it was that DDOS thing with PSN, it was on Dec 25th. Had 6 players spawn once but never seen one.

OH WAIT I DID!!!

I was playing the missions and when I got to Chicago I had a mission that finished on the pier (Herchell Craig's first mission) and I saw a 370Z (Very similar to the one above but had a cool vinyl on it) and I chased him and his car was, well, faster. Only car I've encountered

Alright, thanks for that explanation 👍 So they are basically encouraging you to stay with one spec per car. I was hoping you could switch specs on the fly while driving and see the body parts transform just like in the trailer.

On another note, I just had a crazy thought and hoped that they would add the Peugeot 406 from Taxi :D

Before I contact UBI, I have yet been able to play the game due to connection error- #3_0_90. Anyone else have any issues like that or solutions, thanks?

Fixed- Error was a corrupt save file, had to delete save data. Working now.
