Yeah, you can use the PS2 controller in the PS1. I Preffer the stiffer analog sticks on the DS2 to the looser ones on the first DS.

If you'd ever tried putting accel. to the right analog, you'd prefer the stiff preciseness to the DS2. DS1's analog is so damn flimsy. One flick and you're at full throttle. But with DS2, you can take the turn on medium, then gun it. I just find the DS2 more precise and funner.
