I used a maxed Motorsport Elise (with a wing added) to beat the AI Motorsport Elise lots of times. Sometimes my car wasn't even maxed. B-spec all the way. I believe I've won it with less than max turbo, too.

I think my red ENKEI 036 wheels really help a lot.

Other cars I've used are the Impreza Super Touring Car '01 (Pleiades prize) and the NSX-R LM '02 (Motegi 8 prize). Those are both cheats--I was looking for "no buy" entrants, I think.

Motor Sport Elise

Racing Transmission, Racing Flywheel, Triple Clutch, Stage 1 Weight Reduction

Make sure no other elises in the field (they WILL leave you for dead) and make you opponent the Shelby 1 Series

Its on hell of a tough close race early on and its not clear if youll win but pit every 13 laps with sports hard on front and rear (mediums on front make the rears wear out faster so its bad. Won by 30 seconds cause i REALLY pushed at the end.

no they don't leave u for dead, i used a near stock Motor Sport Elise against another of the smae. I won by merely few seconds.

I used my 257 hp BMW 120d with S1's and won by less than 30 seconds (200 a-spec points)

Mods: Stage 3 turbo, racing brakes & controller, racing suspension, customizable tranny, triple plate clutch & racing flywheel

Very fun race! 👍 👍

Shelby Series 1 Super Charged
- hard sport tires
- ricey wing
- nice setups
- pits after every 21 laps and kills entire field by several laps.

DAMN!!!

You guys make this race WAY too EASY!!! lol...

For cash cow racing (just to win and sell) I use my Camaro LM Race Car on SH/SH... But that's just B-Spec

For A-Spec I'm planning on doing this in a 270kw Sileighty on SH/SH, It runs the same lap times as the MS Elise and pits on the same laps too... So it should be a blast of a race (watch the writeups section - Coming soon)

It's 200 points too!!!

Oooh! Sounds nice, especially from point view. I've mastered El Capitan enough to battle equal with slower cars too so it should be piece of cake - I just need to find mottivation to run track around 66 times.

Talking about 200 points, Special conditions wet Tsukuba in hard level gives 200 points when joining in with fully upgraded street Skylines, but remember to add wings and qualifying tires! A1 is quite dolt and you can beat him quite easily.
Sorry about out of topic! :dopey:

I used a stock Viper SRT/10 '03. Just slapped on hard sports tyres.

The strongest computer competition is pretty much the Lotus Motorsport Elise. The Elise is a very strong car around this track because it is not a power track - agility is the key.

I B-specced the race, but my driver lost by a minute. I decided to do the race myself, at least the first stint. I drove for 16 laps and built up a lead of 1'50 over the blue Motorsport Elise (he pitted on lap 12). I then had to pit for fresh tyres as my front tyres were starting to go.

I let my B-spec driver drive the rest of the race - I came back 2 hours later and he had won by 3 seconds! I calculated that if I had continued I would have won by 3 laps! Looks like my B-spec driver needs some practice...

The race is 66 laps. The Elise pits about every 12 laps - that means he makes 5 pitstops. If you can run about 16/17 laps, you can get away with 3 pitstops. I think the Elise sets a fastest lap of about 1:53 and usually goes slower. My best lap was a 1:49.757, but I lapped almost every lap in the 1:50s or 1:51s. All you need to do is lap consistently in the 1:50-1:55 range and you are sorted.

Another good car to drive would be the Motorsport Elise. This is a perfect excuse to use the phrase 'fight fire with fire'. However, the Elise the computer uses is not stock. You will have to drive hard to keep up and it won't be easy, unless you upgrade your own car.

I'd better stop - this is becoming something of a write-up!

Just thought I'd repeat this. The computer uses an upgraded Motorsport Elise. Maybe not always, but at the very least every time I have seen it.

You say 'near stock'. Well, that's neither here nor there really! You can win against the AI Motor Sport Elise in an absolute stock Motor Sport Elise, and it's a hard race. You can't run the same laptimes as him, but you can make fewer pitstops and win.

Other stiff competition you can get in this race would be the Zonda. But it pales in comparison to the pace set by the Elise.

Sometimes the AI Elise seems like it has normal tires, or something, and makes very few pitstops.

i mean't near stock as in no power upgrades, sry if it's unclear. I tuned the suspension a bit, but that's it.

I used a Toyota Supra RZ '97, purchased in Used Car Lot II. Changed the oil and that was it. Kept the SM tyres that it came with. Pitted every 10 laps. Great stock ride for this race, and 200 A-Spec points to boot! Beat the Corvette Grand Sport by about 13s.
This race is one of the better enduros in GT4, recommend everyone drives it at least once. Leave B-Spec well alone. Killing this race in something hugely overpowered doesn't prove anything, not even for a B-Spec wimp!

Pffft!

I've gained pretty much all from GT4 already and now only goal is to gain ALL cars.
Best way to do that is let B-spec earn some good money from El Capitan and buy rest of cars.

This is just my opinion, but i think it's more fun to race the DTM cup all over again. The El Capitan endurance in B-Spec gets a little boring after a while (I haven't tried that though but driving is more fun than watching ;))

Ah well done then. I myself was pretty chuffed with beating the AI Motorsport elise in a stock Motorsport elise - I felt like I must be a good driver or something!

To anyone who hasn't tried it, I would recommend it as a challenge but also as fun - the Elise is a joy to drive.

Using the Amuse S2000 R1'04 at 295 HP (Racing Exhaust, Chip, NA Tune Stage 1) with Racing Brakes, Suspension, and Transmission on S2/S2 Tires against a field including the Shelby'03, SPIRRA'04, TVR Speed 6'97, Corvette (C4)'96 and the Mercedes SL65 AMG'04 resulted in a very easy 200 A-Spec Point win.

I went in well prepared, but most likely, this car doesn't need hardly any mods at all in order to win this race comfortably, even against a stronger lineup.

You must be doing it wrong! Oh yes , you're doing B-spec! This is one endurance race that can be so good you should only want to do it A-spec!

Take a nicely balanced car that you enjoy driving, and each time you race it, reduce the bhp. Or use cheaper tyres. Or simpler suspension. Just get it closer to stock. You'll jave a ball! :)

For me it was an NSX-R, And that Motorsport Elise was such a menace! Love this race...

In my opinion this is the only endurance race worth doing 'A' Spec, I love this circuit, my fave car is the Mazda RX8 you win in the RX8 championship. I spend most of the race trying to better my lap times.

Sometimes the AI Elise seems like it has normal tires, or something, and makes very few pitstops.
It has more power.
Yes. But sometimes, but not always, it seems to pit a lot less often than a B-spec Elise needs to. I don't think a particular AI car always runs in the same trim each time. Other people have speculated that at times the AI Elise uses Normal (not Sports) tires, and then needs to pit less often.

Don't blame me if you don't understand me right. :irked:

No, I'm not doing B-Spec, I said this to the guy who used B-Specing to make money. I've A-Speced this race three times now and may do it a couple more times with a slower car. That NSX-R might be just the one :dopey:

I have always been up against a Motor Sport Elise which pits every 11 or 12 laps, and has more power than stock. I ran a stock Motor Sport Elise and could run 20 laps.

I'd be impressed if he is doing those laptimes on normal tyres, but also surprised he can only run 12 laps.

I found a "stripped-down-maxed" Motor Sport Elise was a fairly easy B-spec win (Bspec points 10000/100/100/100). I.e. it had level 3 weight reduction, and port polish and engine balancing. Also the wing at max, and an oil change. It has the roll-cage, and rigidity refresh seems to help. The rigidity refresh doesn't wear out until sometime in the second 200 miles, so a second race (also won) was done partly without it. It's got a fair number of miles on it, so engine is now past break-in and permanently losing power. Racing suspension was only slightly tweaked. Winning margin was about a minute, more when the rigidity remained. I suspect it could win entirely without rigidity refresh.

Using another new Motor Sport Elise adding all non-power parts, and tuning as for the other, and doing an oil change, but without weight reduction or engine tuning, seemed to slow it down enough that it came second. I didn't all the roll-cage to this one. Perhaps a lot of suspension tuning, or even gear ratio tweaking, could salvage a win. This car was about two minutes slower, so lost by about a minute.

As for tires, I used T-S2 front and T-S1 rear on both cars.

Yes, every Motor Sport Elise I raced against stopped pretty much every 12 laps. I stopped at 17,34,50. It't not impossible I imagined the Elise which lasted many many laps (more than 20), but I believe others had reported it.

The inability to refresh rigidity pre-emptively is annoying. It seems to make the difference between the B-spec Bentley Speed 8 being able to win the the Infineon Enduro, or not.

i use the HKS hyper silvia with s2 tires and light camber. pitting around 15-20laps and refueling every other pitstop. this car gets great fuel millage and has good tire wear. its almost like a miata but not slow and stupid.
