It is in Italian, I will try and find an English source as soon as possible.

No more Lancia. Quite the shame.

I thought the brits had already killed Lancia?

No, Lancia withdrew from the British market in the late 70s / early 80s but still carried on in the continental European market. Uh... until now, it seems.

Better to have no Lancia than the Lancia we have now. It should have been killed in the 90's. In the modern world, we can't have Lancia as the great marque it used to be.

Lets hope the best for all the workers.

I hope Alfa is not the next to fall, sales numbers are terrible, no new cars announced so far... :(

I imagine that Lancia is being axed because it and Alfa Romeo cancel each other out.

With Fiat the general car marque, Alfa Romeo the sports car/premium marque and Ferrari the supercar marque, there isn't anywhere for Lancia to slot in. Especially not now Chrysler and all of its subsidiaries have come to move in.

So where does Maserati fit in?

Also, why not sell Lancia off?

The Jule is an amazing car, yet consistently ignored by the press (guess Fiat pays not enough ad money).

There have been rumours about a new Giulia with rwd and Alfa clone of the Ghibli (magnificent car btw), but... nothing ,ore then rumours so far.

Oh. Damn. This is incredibly sad but incredibly irrelevant at the same time.

Sad because of the brand's incredible history and iconic cars.

Irrelevant because Lancia practically didn't even exist since 20 years ago.

Still, more sad than irrelevant ):

Would be nice to have seen Lancia entering Motorsport with Ferrari MR chassis'.

Oh well.
The most common motor sport lanica been involved in was rallying. Alfa was the brand that did more road racing. More than Ferrari

Yeah I know that but hey Porsche was known for rallying with early 911s. Can't say they still do now, whose to say Lancia couldn't have done circuit racing now?

Either way, it's not gonna happen now lol

Lancia did actually compete in sportscars. Group 6 and Group C. Not too successfully though.
