I'm perplexed as to why you chose the HB Cosmo. It's a quirky choice, for sure, but to omit the Cosmo 110S and the JC Cosmo (20B, naturally) seems incredulous!

I'd also like to see, as a real quirky one that would never actually make it, the RX-8 PZ. It was a limited run UK-only special edition series one RX-8 which was modified by Prodrive. As said, will never happen, but is certainly in the 'enthusaist' bucket of RX-8s.

As for other makes and marques, I would really like to see some love for the Ford Escort Cosworth, the Renault Clio Williams and the Ford Sierra Cosworth. All intriguing cars, with the Sierra and Escort potentially slotting in to the Legends Dealer - at least in race spec guise.

On that note, a Mk.II Ford Escort would be a hoot as well.

And finally, to round out my list, the Subaru Blob-eye Impreza Rally Car please.

Also zero chance of the cars you're flagging as "Legends" to actually be "Legends".
I had to go back and look, since I'm running on four hours sleep, oy. But he didn't mention Haggerty or the Legends at all.

Anyhow, I want PD to bring in as many sports cars as possible which can fill out a roster of racing vehicles from the 80s into early 2000s. I love what GT7 currently has on offer, but Kaz being a car and motorsport historian, he needs to sick his team on what I consider the glory days of sports cars and Touring Cars. I was mooning over some of these very racers, particularly the Esprit and Carlton. My adds would be these.
  • Audi Quattro and Quattro Sport, only available in the Pikes Peak Rally car, and that's such a shame
  • BMW M1
  • Ferrari F355 and Challenge
  • Ferrari 550 / 575 Maranello
  • Saleen S7
And gosh... so many classy BMWs, Jaguars, Maseratis, Mercedes-Benz and Porsches which raced back then. I'm lusting after a more or less fleshed out field of 1980-99 era DTM, Touring Car and FIA GT racing.

I actually did have the '03 MG ZT-T Estate listed as possible Legends, mostly due to the fact that a ZT-T actually ran the fastest time or record for an Estate back when it came out, among other things. But ultimately I think he may be right about at least that assumption of Legends status for the ZT-T. I think some of my other mentions, like the Lamborghini Jarama S, might be better suited for that category.

In regards to the 1980-1999 era, I couldn't agree more, and pretty much what my two friends and I were going for with the list!

Although it no longer appears on the MG:
Jaguar:
(Legends)-1989 Lister-Jaguar XJS Le Mans

Lamborghini:
*(Legends)-1972 Lamborghini Jarama S

Lotus:
*(Legends)-1989 Lotus Esprit Turbo 300

MG:
*(Legends)-2003 MG ZT-T Estate

Honestly, I like the way the HB Cosmo looks, it really just is unique all around, haven't much seen another Mazda like it!

In reference to the Euro Ford classics, I actually wholeheartedly agree. I assumed though that Ford was going to get their due diligence by PD, though. Some of those Ford's were in GT 5/6 too, if I recall correctly...

Anyone remember the Lotus tuned Isuzu sedan that is super rare in the US? Can't remember the name.
That's the one, the Isuzu Impulse. Believe all packages had Lotus suspension too, even base models. Love that car.

I thought Famine was pretty clear about the MG station wagon you keep talking about lol. This might turn into a meme.

This weird little station wagon you keep on about is no more special than the various 80s and 90s crapbox starter cars we all bought for 6,000 credits in Gran Turismo 2. There is absolutely nothing special about it. In fact I'd argue that the first-generation Ford Explorer is a vastly more iconic car to society in virtually ever measure.

With that, here's my addition to the list:

- 1991 Ford Explorer XLT (legends)

Why? Because it took a relatively obscure and unrefined idea - a tall, off-road capable family wagon - and turned it mainstream. The Explorer revolutionized the auto industry across the entire planet, sparking a boom of refined and luxurious off-road worthy SUVs and crossovers which is a trend still growing today, over 30 years after its debut. The Explorer itself has sold millions of vehicles throughout its lifetime and directly influenced the sales of millions of other similar vehicles for decades. If you currently know anybody driving around in an AWD crossover, you can thank the original Ford Explorer for introducing that basic idea to the market.

Get outta here with your crappy British wagon lol. The Ford Explorer is like the American version of the Volkswagen Golf and clearly deserves to be featured in the Hagerty Collection.

It's really not that serious. Issue of why it couldn't be was squared away with Famine. Your suggestion is actually a great one, I love the Explorer a lot and it's rebadge clones too like the Navajo, etc. Keep the suggestions flowing, I encourage it.

Just think, they could code it to require an engine rebuild every 1,000 miles to try to get the feeling of the real-world reliablity. There's a reason they were nicknamed the "Exploder."

It would also give PD an opportunity to work on the roll-over physics, since taking any kind of sharp curve at more than 40mph would toss these things over.

Besides, the AMC Eagle beat the Explorer to the "AWD Crossover" game by a decade.

What you think about Wiesmann Roadster? 😉
It looks interesting, and then there's this little factoid.
The Roadster MF5 V10 was the most exclusive model Wiesmann built, with a limited production of only 43 cars.
Would be nice if some generous owner would let PD pour over and drive it. Fast. :sly:

Although I have to say that with so many obscure cars which I'd like to see return like the Atlantique, Cizeta and Spirra, I'd put the Wiesmann on a back burner for a while. And while I'm on it...
  • Bugatti EB110
  • Cizeta V16T
  • Oullim Motors Spirra
  • Venturi Atlantique 400 GTR
