..and today my stupid iPod almost died on me. It started malfunctioning, thinking it was always in hold. Then I go to reboot it and it got stuck on the Apple logo like 3 times until I connected it to my PC and rebooted. However, it would still take a gazillion minutes to boot (I swear even my old Celeron PC could boot faster than this stupid iPod). I am now restoring it.

Went for 3rd gen. It's the one I own for a start, but I also like the shape, feel and features. It's also the smallest without lacking video playback like the 6th gen.

It's also been faultless the whole time I've owned it.

Jailbreaking is legal. But getting "free" AppStore apps not from the AppStore is called piracy and is illegal.

You don't get the apps for free when you jailbreak your iPod Touch or iPhone. It's an app in Cydia that get you them for free. And yes it is Illegal to get the apps for free.

That's what I was trying to say. But Cydia doesn't have the Installous app, it only scans the Installous servers and then installs it for you if you tell it to.
