Don't take my words of of context, thank you very much. I said that speculation surrounding Moody's Tweets relate to the possibility of Ecclestone leaving his position. I didn't say that he WOULD leave the position.

Don't raise our hopes like that! :(

The phrase "better the devil you know than the devil you don't" springs to mind. I'm willing to bet that at least half (and probably more) of what we supposedly know about Bernie is fiction made up by his detractors and encouraged by the teams, who know the value of having the fanbase on-side (if only to distract from their own behaviour).

I hope it is a complete front that Bernie puts on, because it sometimes scares me that he runs Formula 1. Unless there are processes in place that means his plans don't always get green lit straight away...

I don't trust the Dailyfail, they hardly can put forth post race remarks. Plus what British Press (basically tabloid) wouldn't put their national driver at the forefront to be picked. I doubt they really know yet and even if they happen to be right I'd rather wait for the official news.

So they've shown the door to Magnussen at the very last moment, just like they did with Perez..

Poor guy.. :(

Mclaren surely would have to keep Magnussen as their 3rd driver, he is too good for a rookie to just be thrown in the scrap heap.

I have no fear for Magnussen. It's a shame that he was screwed over in this whole thing, as he made a spectacular showing in his rookie season. But he has a long career ahead of him, and no doubt come next silly season teams will be falling over themselves to be the first to snap him up. There's a lot of drivers on the grid that a team boss would be very glad to replace with Magnussen.

I hope he finds some way to continue to be involved in the sport this season. At the very least McLaren should give him a reserve drive with regular Friday outings if he can't find anything elsewhere. That would seem only fair after screwing him over by leaving this whole shambles so late in the season.

That's not confirmation. That looks like Andrew Benson trying to get a scoop.

Tell me, if McLaren have kept Button, why did they invite the Danish media to tye press conference?
Because they would probably want to be there regardless of outcome?

The announcement will be soon, the media are just trying to take advantage.
